Harbor lending Cameron financial incompetant, horrible attention to detail, resulting in home falling out of escrow and lost $$$. Very dishonest, uneducated in variety of loan programs. Director Of Ops is a liar and aggressive. San Luis Obispo, California

Harbor Lending Company has somehow been able to receive funds by keeping clients strung along, making promises to finance home purchases. The longer they keep home buyers in the pipeline the ability to show investors they have actual business coming in. I am not alone in this disappointment.

They are extremely incompetent and consider lying to be the best policy to keep borrowers. The director of operations is not even licensed, blaming others for his promises not being fulfilled. The DOO aggressive behavior towards clients when they find out HARBOR LENDING is a fraud, is criminal and threatening. The President of the company is a dirtbag as well currently being sued for $3 million.

Thank goodness for other reputable lenders in the area who try to save the damage done. One woman was able to close escrow and not lose her potential home. This borrower was not so lucky and lost $2500 in deposit and reports to the sellers of the property. Currently with a capable lender and will start over.

Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention.  

It is somewhat difficult to respond to your experience given that we do not know much about the details of your loan qualification.  I would be more than happy to look into the details surrounding your experience and possibly shed light on what may have been happening behind the scenes with the investor that was underwriting your loan.

I know the process of getting a home loan after the massive wall street melt down left many borrowers very frustrated with the new government regulations and investor overlays.  All parties have been affected by these regulations and navigating them post melt down, as you experienced first hand, was no easy task.  I do apologize that you had a horrible experience and do hope that you contact us to possible shed light on your specific experience.  

Please be assured that we do not and never have accepted upfront loan fees from borrowers.  Credit Reports and Appraisal fees are paid directly to the credit reporting agency and Appraisal Management Companies and Never used by Harbor Lending.  

Again I do apologize that you have had such a horrible experience, and I do encourage you to contact us.  We have provided thousands of home loans since opening and helped many borrowers who were denied by their local community banks because "banks were not lending".  In addition we have helped provided much needed financing not only for home owners, but to contractors, developers and local persons looking for investment properties.
