In Mid December we moved into a rental in Pueblo that needed a lot of work including an exterior wall that was crumbling, no electrical or plumbing.  It was a rent in exchange for fixing it up.  Mr Garrison continually told use that a electrician would either be there in a day, or he was talking to the electrician or that he couldn’t get a hold of the electrician.  We ended up getting the water turned on, and installing a new shut off valve ourselves.  It took him a very long time to reimburse us for the material—we never charged for any of our labor.  After being there five weeks we had no electricity or plumbing.  The city was called due to the exterior wall getting worse.  We had told Mr Garrison that we needed money for materials to shore up the wall but he kept saying that he had material and would bring it.

Long story short the city has condemned the building and we had 15 hours to vacate.  We called Mr Garrison who assured us he was on his way to the rental but never showed.  When we called he said “oh I turned around and went back home because this is going to need engineers and such”.  Never once caring about us.

We ended up moving in motel, I lost my job over it.  He offered to help by giving us $50 which he later said he gave us in our time of need.  He also offered us another rental in Fowler.  I had to get the plumbing fixed in order to have water but still have no water heater, central heat or shower.  Despite numerous emails and letters Mr Garrison has not addressed these issues.

I have also invoiced him for the work we did in Fowler—both labor and material and have not yet seen a check.  In an email dated March 4^th he states “I have not been intentional in putting off a response to your request for money. I had planned on coming down but I cannot get away when it snows as I do some snow removal, so is it has had me tied up for quite some time. 
I am actually quite baffled by the situation that I have become involved in. It seems that I have been keeping you from spending $1000 a month, living in a hotel, by supplying housing to you, which I am supposed to be compensated for.”

I responded to his email with invoice and letter, both email and mailed, and have not heard a response.  Furthermore he will not address the water heater, central heat, shower or what our arrangement is supposed to be.
