Hess Kennedy Chartered Debt Settlement Misrepresentation Syosset New York

I entered into a debt settlement agreement with Hess Kennedy Chartered of Syosset, NY in 2007. I have paid monthly payments of $557 since Aug. 2007 totally approximately $5,500. No settlement has been negotiated with either of the 4 creditors that were in the settlement.

Two of my creditors have filed claims against me in the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cook. When I contacted Hess Kennedy regarding their role in these claims, I was given instructions on how to handle a response to the summons. However, it was made clear to me that I would not have any representation from Hess. I was told I have approximately $1,100 in escrow and that that was not enough money do any negotiation at this time. What have they done for me for $5,000 plus dollars?

When I canceled my agreement with them as of October, 2008, I was told that they did not know when I would be refunded the approximately $1,100 that I supposely have in my escrow.

I have had to recently file bankrutcy and of course my credit is ruined.

It is appalling what these companies are doing to people.
