I ordered an LG refrigerator from Homedepot.com in OCTOBER, it was on backorder at the time and was advised it would be 2-3 weeks until they could place the order with the manufacturer. Understandable I could wait 2-3 weeks but over 2 months getting impatient. It was 4 weeks later when the order was placed with LG and my CREDIT CARD CHARGED!
After 3 revised delivery dates I STILL DO NOT have this refrigerator, and NO EXPECTED DELIVERY DATE. Just when I have a delivery date set I CALL Homedepot.com AND LG Electronics to follow up and things are changed WITHOUT NOTIFICATION. Calling either customer service department doesn't help because you just get passed around. Then I am told product is arriving to the warehouse but I cannot be guaranteed to receive one from the warehouse. As of this morning, They will contact me when one is available and they have no idea when that will be.
Alternative models/brands were suggested but for an additional $400+ out of my pocket. And to get the charges OFF my card I would have to CANCEL my order. Yes THEIR REP suggested I cancel my order. I can't just cancel, the "special online price" (scam) is almost $700 less than any other store, even less than scratch and dent models! They know my hands are tied due to the extremely low price that I will not be able to match anywhere else yet customer service cannot provide me any other details regarding delivery.
If anyone from Homedepot.com customer service tells you to go to a store for help - don't! ONLINE BUSINESS IS COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM STORE BUSINESS, there is nothing they can do to help you (especially appliances)!
