I got a similar phone call about how I had won a cruise from registering online(which by the way I don't remember doing.) The only thing I have done online was a Breast Cancer survey from a reputable site.
So naturally when I got the call, I was shocked that I had won anything. I proceeded to listen to the presentation. Then they said that they needed my husbands information too, since he would be going on the cruise with me. I told them I would have to call them back because he was out of town.
My husband and I talked and he said if I wanted to go with a friend then that would be fine. So I called my friend and told her about it, she was so jazzed about going on a cruise and having to pay very little because I HAD WON!! ( yeah right) I turned around and called them back to get more specific information.
The girl I talked to this time was a Jessica Mc Daniels employee # KB9456 (I must be victim # 9456) I gave her my name and she pulled up everything, name... address... and of course my phone number. Still thinking it was ligitiment, I asked my questions and she started in on the schpeel about the 2 day 2 night cruise to Nasua,Paradise Island and the Bahamas and all we had to pay for was Air Fare and the $59 per person fee (to be able to leave and reenter the country.)
I explained to her that I had already heard all this. Then she said she had this package offer that we could get 3 days, 2 nights in Ft Lauderdale... along with the cruise, and an additional 3 days, 2 nights in Orlando. With this special we would also get a rental car (and if we didn't want that then we could get tickets to the theme parks in Orlando) And all of this would be ours for 80% off regular price.
Which I thought was great (HaHa) NOT so much!!!
That it would only cost a TOTAL of $498 dollars for both of us. " That's NOT each of you!!!!" " Does that sound great to you??" Well who wouldnt it sound great to??? But is it realistic??? NO!!!!!! I told her I didn't have all my friends information and she said that was ok, she didn't need it. Hummmm???? ( then why did you need my husbands) The only thing I needed to do was give them 60 days advanced notice before we wanted to use our FREE Cruise.
She asked for my card information and I told her I would have to call her back after I gave my friend all the details. Then she acted ALL kinds of PUT OUT and said "HOLD ON" in hateful tone. Which totally caught me off gaurd since she was so sweet and polite before. (SYBIL lately) I just hung up the phone and called my friend. We got to researching this online while we were on the phone and thats when I found this website. Thank God for that.
So, to the people that got taken by this SCAMMING company, I'm really sorry for all your hassel. But I would like to say ... if it wasn't for you making this report I very well could be going thru the same thing. So, THANK YOU!!! Your stree was not in vain!
