I myself have also been a victim of unethical treatment from JB Dollar Stretcher Magazine, and, was also informed from previous clients about unethical behavior from upper management.

I requested a meeting with the Viice President in Ohio, Owners, and Human Resources to discuss my concerns. My request was denied, instead I was terminated by a phone call, from the Vice President of the Detroit office. He advised me he was terminating our relationship due to lack of sales.

Unfortunately, I did not sell anything in the short time I was there(2 days part-time and 19 days full-time), however, had a wonderful pipe line going with a lot of potential. I previously had seven years experience in this field and was holding back because they had not delivered to me what they had promised.

There were incidents that occured where management was in competition with their employees. There was no mentoring, or a positive environment, instead employees worried about what was being taken from them. I feel that this is very unfortunate for everyone. Times are difficult enough and no-one deserves to be treated the way that JB Dollar treats their employees, and some of their clients. Documentation available

JB Dollar is by far the worst company I've ever worked for. The office I worked at wasn't too bad as far as management went, but as far as the company went, as a whole, well, let's just say it sucked. I quit the same I was going to be "let go" because of lack of sales. I worked there almost three months and during that time I made 3 or 4 sales, however I was making the most appointments out of everyone else in the office at the time. Making appointments was never the problem, making the sale was. I had a ton of potential clients though...and as I look through JB Dollar each time I get it in the mail, I see that most of them are now advertising...because of ME! I did pretty much all the leg work for them, and now they get them as clients and what did I get? Screwed over. I'd love to contact each of them and tell them to stop wasting their money, but I won't. However, I do come in contact with lots of business owners all the time, and if advertising comes up, I make sure to tell them to avoid JB Dollar at all costs! This includes employer's I've had since working at JB Dollar. JB Dollar always talks about being to clients, at all costs, because they could bad-mouth the magazine, thus losing them sales. They need to extend this to their employee's because guess what...we can talk too! And I'm a firm believer in word-of-mouth advertising...it does wonders!

I'm sorry you were treated the way you were by JB Dollar. Just know that you are not alone...there are many of us out here! Just goes to show what a bad company it really is. Joan and Bob are in it for the money, and that's all. They could care less about the state of the various offices and how the employee's are treated. As long as they have a few houses, a few cars and can vacations every other month, they're happy. They could care less about their clients too. The clients are deceived more than they realize.

The only thing I learned while working at JB Dollar is that I HATE sales and I'll never do it again!

P.s. As for management being in competition with the employee's, I did notice that. That to me isn't right...it should not be that way at all. But it is. And management can take any client they want too, even if the employee found them first. Luckily it never happened to me, but it did happen to co-workers, and it happened after I left the company.
