That being said, a stringent focus on quality workmanship and excellent customer care are often stressed upon both in the office and out in the field.
As a successful entrepreneur, Mr. Wedding feels it is imperative to listen to his customers and to respond promptly and considerately. By always putting his customers first, Mr. Wedding hopes to maintain Jasper Contractors reputation as a trustworthy and reliable company in the roofing and HVAC industry. Jasper Contractors takes employee satisfaction seriously as well and strives to promote a positive working environment by encouraging feedback from associates on a regular basis.
Jasper Contractors recognizes that complaints posted on Ripoff Report regardless of validity are issues that need to be addressed and not ignored. With the feedback generated by Rip-off Reports Investigation Jasper Contractors has made organizational changes allowing its clients and employees a more streamlined approach to problem resolution and a commitment to a great client experience.

The Following information provided in this report is based on comments made by Brian Wedding and his staff during an on-site inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases toward Jasper Contractors.
Jasper Contracts is a roofing and HVAC company located in twelve cities nationwide. Their target market is everyone because everyone has a roof over their head, whether that be at work or at home. The company believes that their size and various awards they have won set them apart from other companies in their industry. Additionally, they believe they are a competitive employer because they offer benefits such as company vehicles and insurance coverage for their employees and their families with no out-of-pocket costs.
The sales process at Jasper starts out with a salesmen knocking on homeowners doors. Occasionally, their sales force focuses on an area where damage has occurred due to storms or environmental conditions. While meeting potential customers, the salesperson is responsible for explaining to the homeowner the services Jasper can provide. At this time, the salesperson explains the steps it will take to complete the roof installation and provides advice when dealing with the homeowners insurance company. Additionally, the salesperson will aid in working with the insurance adjustor to assess the damages. During the entire sale and installation of the product, a representative from Jasper stays in constant communication with the client to ensure they are receiving the best customer care possible.
Jasper has noted that there are some areas of concern that need improvement internally, such as some of their methods of communication. Currently, they are taking an active approach on implementing new systems. For example, all of their employees are now given Android phones to ensure that orders can be processed right away. Additionally, employees have special email addresses for billing to make sure orders are taken care of in a timely manner.
One of the most common complaints Jasper receives is they occasionally leave nails behind after a job is complete on the ground. Jasper states that they go back out to the site and provide a magnetic sweep to clear the nails left behind. The other complaint the company commonly receives is in regards to the customers invoice being different than the quoted price. This is usually due to supplemental damage to roof that cannot be seen until the original roof has been taken off. Jasper does their best to explain this to customers. Additionally, the company states that if clients are dissatisfied with something, they send a representative onsite within twenty-four hours of being notified. They work with the homeowner until the situation is resolved.
Jasper has received many complaints from former employees in the sales department in regards to their termination policies. The company stated that they have put new training in place for the sales department which they feel helps to retain employees.
Since Jasper Contractors has been a part of Ripoff Report Consumer Advocacy Program, changes have been made to do whatever it takes to make the client happy. Japer is now requesting satisfaction surveys from current customers, they have more field managers working onsite, and they work to fix problems with-in twenty-four hours. They also have learned to communicate better with their customers and are implementing that through a blog and responding to the complaints on Ripoff Report. Jasper feels as though it is beneficial to defend how they are represented in their industry.
In summary, after our investigation, which included discussions with Mr. Wedding and many of his past and current associates, Ripoff Report is convinced that Jasper Contractors is committed to quality delivery of services resulting in total client satisfaction.

Jasper Contractors, Inc Takes Commissions hard worked for... Baton Rouge Louisiana
Well, this make shift company not only has a high turn around, but they treat their employees like dogs.
They take Commissions from their sales guys and nobody can say a word of anything in fear of getting fired. Its a Work Dictatorship!!!
They set up an illegal 45 days and 3 day check pick up rule for their sales guys via email, which in turn changes a whole commission structure. THEY THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW!!!!
They advertise on their job postings, "You can make $1000 +!!! That's all BS. They take all the money in a ridiculous 28% overhead gross profit!!!
This is how their commission structure works:
Ex. $8000 job for 32 squares of roof= $250/sq
28% of $8000= $2,240.00
Production Cost= $ 5376
Add the 28% and Production Cost= $7616
Whatever is left over is divided by 2. Therefore, $192 belongs to the sales guy. Sometimes nothing!!! Its all to the mercy of the insurance payout. However, the sales guy is responsible for everything. They have become so greedy that even the $192 they are trying to take away from the person who originated it all.
Wedding, THINK ABOUT WHO'S MAKING YOU MONEY YOU P***K!!!! Its not your office bimbo's, which you hire based on looks.
There's plenty more, however, I would probably never stop typing.

JASPER Contractors are crooks
AUTHOR: CO Roofer - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Thursday, November 18, 2010
POSTED: Thursday, November 18, 2010I worked for Jasper this summer and know firsthand how they operate. Yes the salary and benefits are a great lure for people. But when you figure the amount of work and the pay that you actually get it works out to be about $15 an hour. The average commisssion on each job is close to $200. not the $500 they tell you. Since they are paying you a salary you are expected to work 12 - 15 hrs a day 6 days a week, during the summer. And do even think about speaking your mind or you will be gone quickly and they will keep your commission. The only people that have been there long term are the people they promoted to managers. Those poor suckers are so under the gun to do whatever high management sez or they to will be gone. If you want to get some training in this business than go ahead and work for Jasper and when spring hits go work for a company that actually values you as a person you will make much more money with a heck of a lot less stress.
Best of Luck with Jasper Contractors and the Big machine that will eat your soul alive and cast you out quickly and efficiently if you dont conform to the Jasper Way.

POSTED: Thursday, July 29, 2010Its funny how you try to play down the commission structure...maybe you changed it recently to further your advantage on screwing all your sales guys....Its funny how other reports are showing up on this website generated by salesman who are either working or previously worked for Jasper Contractors....I can guarantee that there are many and many out there who just haven't ran into this website to file their complaints....Its okay because greed is actually the root of all evil and its just a matter of time before you go down...We all know how shady of a company you are...you open shop in one city and promise the world and soon after you close shop, lay off all your employees (sales) and take their commissions....you can write all you want for a rebuttal. however; we all know how full of crap you are...you can just tell by the cocky attitude you have chosen to kindly display in your rebuttal.
To all sales guys...DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN ANY WAY, SHAPE, OR FORM with Jasper Contractors!!! Also, HOMEOWNERS...I strongly suggest you DO NOT USE Jasper Contractors for your roof repairs or do any business with them...they will lock you into contracts and they will also make you file bogus claims with your insurance company.....Also, keep in mind that the insurance companies have black listed them for sending bogus claims, demanding additional money for non-existant items, and charging unbelievable amounts of money for nothing.
In Conclusion....DO NOT USE JASPER CONTRACTORS!!!

I'm a Money Maker, I take it that YOU COULDN'T MAKE ANY
AUTHOR: Money Maker - (USA)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, August 12, 2009
POSTED: Wednesday, August 12, 2009You poor soul, if you're going to tell the story perhaps you should tell it right. I won't even comment on your opinion of it being a dictatorship, nor the 45 day and/or 3 day rule. Because that's just that, your opinion. And at this point, I think your opinion is garbage. But i will correct the parts that you're factually wrong on as well as add some things that you did not mention. Starting with your example of how the commission works. here's what you got right on your $8K job....the 28% overhead...yes it will be $2240. Here's where you need to go back to math school. The production cost for that job would be $4896, not $5376. $4896+2240 is $7136 for the job cost. So $8000 - $7136 = $864. Commission is 50% of the profit...so that's a commission payment of $432 for that one job. Now probably what you should also let people know that Jasper does a ton of roofs. Any sorry sales person ought to be able to have 10 jobs a week go on. Now, i got my calculator out, and i figure that to be about $4K in commissions a week. 52 weeks in a year, that's $208K. Oh, let's see...I think you kind of forgot to tell the good people who may have read your report that the job also comes with a base salary in addition to the commission, a company vehicle, health benefits, etc. You actually left out some pretty important stuff. So, I'm not to sure about the company being greedy, perhaps you just couldn't get your boat to float. I know this I paid for my kid's 4-year college this year....the whole 4 years...(wrote a check). So i don't have any complaints with the Big Jasper. But then again, I'm a Money Maker and you strike me as one who wants to be, but you face the same hurdle many people face with that "want". Want to make it, just don't want to work to get it. See You at the Bank (you probably won't be there...LOL)
