The LA Weight Loss Centers in Memphis, Bartlett, Germantown, TN are closing. I talked to my counselor the other day. They have started closing on Thursdays and will transition the stores to a closed status.

She gave me the name of her Area Supervisior for the LA Weight Loss in Memphis/Germantown to contact, but she said refunds will probably not happen. This center was a franchise, but the corporate LAWL took them back over a couple months ago. This is now affecting the LA Weight Loss in Germantown and Memphis, TN, but it may affect others of you nationwide.

The company is still advertising she said even though they know they are closing. Looks like they are doing the same thing that the PURE Weight Loss Centers did. LA Weight Loss has been plagued with bad press. The company also shut down 400 centers in January with no notice to clients and no refunds---they declared bankruptcy to avoid refunds.

Don't get scammed or taken. If you are a current client at LA Weight Loss in Germantown, Memphis or Bartlett, go and request all your bulk bars today. Don't buy any more weeks, as they will be closing the LA Weight Loss in Memphis, Germantown and Bartlett within the next 30 days.

LA Weight Loss Customers - Get your Bars ASAP before they run out!

AUTHOR: Lynne - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 21, 2008

I live in Pittsburgh Pa and watched my friends lose money, bars and self esteem when LA Weight Loss/Pure Weight Loss cut and ran. People were lined up at the store to get the bars owed to the and many left unhappy. Get all of your bars now while you can! They will not be around for another bikini season.

Sad in PA!

Wouldn't be surprised

I am a former employee from the Columbus, GA center. SAME franchise owner as the ones in the Memphis area. Before we opened the store, there was a previous LA Weightloss center in the area, it shut down...didn't tell the clients ANYTHING. They simply locked the doors. No money back...nothing.

Well, we open up & tell former clients "Don't worry, that won't happen here." Well, it was open less than a year and did the EXACT same thing!

Thankfully, I quit long before they shut their doors. Shady sales tactics! The program works, yes... but its WAY too much and they try to push the bars- 16 bucks for 8 bars?, the shakes, the snacks, soups, the supplements (which I cant remember which one... the one that helps combat "free radicals"-- SHOULD NOT be taken with birth control, but they dont inform clients of that).

& the Care Credit is a joke. How can you morally put someone who cant afford the $500- $1000+ plans to begin with on a payment plan thats around 21- 25%?!

The counselors aren't in any position to be giving nutritional advice. We received VERY little training & it was focused on the products we sold.

If you're looking to lose weight, see a licensed nutritionist.

LA Weightloss in Germantown and Memphis ARE Closing--

AUTHOR: Rita - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 18, 2008

Come on, Diane L. ---Shame on you for acting like you are a "client". Not only is your grammar and spelling bad, but you are down right telling fibs. You don't have anyone fooled....

You know just as well as I that the franchise LA Weight Loss Centers in Memphis, Bartlett, and Germantown, TN ARE indeed closing. Quit playing the "strong face" that LAWL Franchise Company wants you to play. The handwriting is on the board and you will soon be without a job or paycheck.

Jamie at the Germantown Center (she was the assistant manager) confirmed they are closing the Germantown market if they cannot find anyone to buy the market under re-sale in the next 30 days. Not only are the centers closed now on Thursdays, but they have added Tuesdays to the closed days. And now an "INVENTORY BLOW OUT" sale due to overstock??? Come on...Same exact tactics used by PURE.

Just a word of advice Ms. Area Director---You need to monitor cash transactions a little better in Memphis. Do you know how many times the staff told clients "The printer is broken and I can't print you a reciept!".....Then pocketed the cash....You need to talk to Audrey about that at Bartlett! She knows first hand---They called her sticky fingers.

To back up the fact that the LA Weight Loss Franchises are shutting down in Memphis, Bartlett and Germantown---here is a quote from a fellow co-worker of yours, Diane:

"As a current employee of LA Weight Loss Franchise Company, I feel it is my duty to warn consumers that you absolutely DO NOT want to waste your money because the company will be CLOSING it DOORS!! As of Friday, we were told, like the employees of Pure Weight Loss, that the company is having financial trouble and will be restructuring. I was one of the lucky ones who did not yet lose their job. They have closed many franchises and will continue to close them. If Harold Kartz (the owner) shuts down, then the franchise owners will have no support or supplies to offer their clients. You do the math. it is so sad that I have worked for this company for 6 years, to see how things have transpired makes me sick. Due to the lack of empathy that this company shows its employees and clients, I cannot continue to be part of it and will be submitting my resignation tomorrow. I just wanted everyone to beware before spending your money on their program. This company is CLOSING its doors soon."

Diane L. -- Get a clue, you are not fooling anyone!

CENTERS NOT CLOSING

AUTHOR: Holdenschic - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, March 14, 2008

Hi Readers
The greatest thing about the internet is it allows anyone to print facts or fiction. I would like for all readers to excise the right to do research, ask questions and find out the facts before acting.

I am a client of LA Weightloss in Germantown. I have been informed by the representatives of LA Weightloss that Centers are open for Business and the Company is still operating 100% of its business. However, some of the centers are operating on Spring Hours.

If you need to lose weight and you are seeking a program that works. LA Weightloss is the KEY. I have been very successful, treated in the most professional manner and informed of all the changes that are happening with the company.

PURE Weightloss, formerly know as LA Weightloss is a separate company. LA Weightloss Franchise Corporation is not affiliated with the PURE Centers that have closed.

Good Luck with your weightloss. Also, remember Do not believe everything you read. Everybody does not have your best interest at heart.
