LL Bean AKA llbean Warranty Guarantee trick to rip you off Internet

 Bought a rain jacket shell many years ago. The waterproof/breathable liner disintegrated. Called for replacement/refund. Here is their "scam":

They told me that model was discontinued and the equivalent was $110, but to replace it, the new model is $190 (oh, it's upgraded and improved, RIGHT!) So they want $80 extra!!! Like a fool I fell for this scam. I had purchased it online but had no receipt.

Now years later that jacket falls apart. I call them and THE SAME STORY exactly. I realized I was scammed.

I called them back and asked for a supervisor in Customer Service and complained that this is a contradiction, either replace it or refund the $ for the higher (ACTUAL CURRENT) price. They finally agreed with me.

DON'T FALL FOR THIS SCAM, demand a replacement or refund.
