Please be aware if you are making a purchase from or if you are selling an item to Mr. Marshall E. Hollis, of Ripley, Mississippi. His eBay user id is 202eagle, so be aware.

Several months ago, Mr. Hollis purchased a couple of old scouting patches from me on eBay. These patches came from a memory box full of souvenirs from my old scouting days, collected from countless summers at camp and jamborees.

Mr. Hollis then sent a rambling email about how the patches were fake and he wanted a refund. I kindly offered a return of the items if he wanted, in hopes of not receiving negative feedback on eBay. Mr. Hollis, however, decided to keep the patches and return other random patches to me while at the same time providing PayPal return tracking number's for his returns.

Mr. Hollis was clearly trying to extort the PayPal system to his advantage, by trying to obtain a refund through committing mail fraud and monetary theft. PayPal is still investigating the matter, but I am confident they will be able to figure this out, since they asked me to provide evidence to support these claims.

I will update this with more information once PayPal reaches a conclusion. In the meantime, please take precautions if you are dealing with Mr. Marshall E. Hollis, whether it be in the capacity of a buyer or seller.

I have not scammed anyone or faked anything

AUTHOR: Marshall - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 03, 2015

Recently I googled my name on the internet and found this false report about me. Mr. Matthew from Lemont, Pennsylvania has accused me of scamming him and faking returns.  Well this is totally false.

I have been a patch collector for years and purchase items on E-bay often. I purchased 2 Philmont Arrowhead patches from Matthew in 2009. When the patches arrived they were fake patches. The thread color on the tab and mountain was red in color instead of brown.

I contacted Matthew explaining that the patches were fake and I wanted to return them and get a refund. He refused saying they were not fakes.

When I asked about the patches Matthew first said that he was selling the patches for another person. When asked who, he could not come up with a name. When questioned again later he said that he had bought the patches at an estate sale and they were old patches. The way they were made was not the old way. They were new patches and were fakes of the old patches. So either he had faked them or he was selling them for someone else that had faked them.

I had no choice but to file a complaint with E-bay who told me to file a complaint with paypal also. So I filed the complaints. After arbitration they decided in my favor. They advised me to return the patches by registered mail which I did. And Paypal refunded my money to my credit card.

Now Matthew is saying that he did not get the patches. Paypal and Ebay have proof of delivery, so he can't say that I scammed him.

I also filed a Fraud report with the Pennsylvania Attorney General's Office who conducted an investigation of this matter. They would not disclose their findings or outcome to me. Probably the reason this internet fraud/scam report is on this site is in retalliation for my Attorney General's Report.

Marshall
