I did not purchase anything from this co. my debit card no. was hijacked by mbcontact.com for 29.88;
This company states it is a billing co. for numerous billing companies and you can bet they are hoping you do not know which one.
This is their lingo:
I see a charge from "MBCONTACT.COM - IJMUIDEN - 1.866.903.4555" on my bank statement, but I don't recall what I bought. Where can I find out?
If you see a charge by Multibill or MBCONTACT.COM on your bank statement, chances are that you or a person in your household made a purchase from Multibill. Our customer service team can provide you with further details on the purchase.
If you can not find the answer to your problem listed here, please direct your query to the customer service.
NOTE THE CUSTOMER SERVICE DOES NOT ANSWER THEIR PHONE NOR DOES THE INTERNET SPYWARE CO. THAT CLAIMS I ORDERED FROM THEM.

I was downloading spybot for 2.98 you can make a donation and I entered my card information and immediately it went to Cyber Defender for 29.88 did not even say if this info is correct or anything, then it automatically downloaded onto my computer and started the scan, and now is saying for me to activate subscription, I do not know who Cyber defender is, I was ordering Spybott, when my card no. was hijacked , the toll free no. for Cyber defender and for mbcontact.com does not answer after hrs. of trying and waiting. I contacted my bank, and let them know of their unauthorized charge and how they hijacked my card no. from Spybott site and intend to notify proper authorities. Also I want this charge of 29.88 removed and credited back to my account immediately. It is an unauthorized charge.

Oh I see just one more report from the UK and yes they are there as well!!!!

CyberDefender is a rip off!! They just scammed me as well!!!

AUTHOR: Expose Cyber Defender - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, October 09, 2008

Hello Pam,

I just wanted to share with you that I am a recent victim of CyberDefender, it is a rip off. Search this site to read the ROR complaint I just submitted today.

After ripping me off they refuse to refund my money. My computer had problems that their software should have picked up. Cyberdefender is a waste of money and a rip off.

Thanks for sharing your experience with CyberDefender on this site. Maybe if there is enough of us we can get a class action going?
