I went to Metro wireless (montclair) today. They have 4 locations around the area. I was given there info through Boost mobile . I got there and asked questions about activating an existing boost. He told me it was no contracts... and $50 a month unlimited. There is no connection fee but you need to buy a sim card for it to work. . After opening the phone adding my sim and activating it , The total was $70. It was activated. No receipt showing my total purchase price, only a print out showing that the activation was complete and a phone number. upon getting home i called my friend that gave me the phone and told me it was only $50 for a month of air time total and told him it was $70 . After arguing over why.... We came to the conclusion i got Scammed. Upon researching the Boost mobile website for fees and procedure i confirmed i got scammed. I should have known not to do business with them. first they are inside a furniture store named Oscars Furniture on 4609 Holt blvd montclair CA.
they give their address as 4611 holt blvd. then they are oriented /paint/advertisment banners/ as a metro PCS location, but they sell boost mobile too.

My phone was a brand new boost phone. It came with the sim card , and the salesperson who's supposed name is Oscar P, falsley told me i needed another one , just to make a sale. Not only that the sim card kit is supposed to only be $10. He charged me $20 and stole my old one(possibly to repeat his scam). I didn;t need one at all. I had to retrieve the original phone box and in it is a sim card kit paper work, so it did come with it. All the other boost phones i bought did 4 total to be exact, so i'm %100 sure it came with one too.

In other words he lied to me that i needed a sim card, Charged me double for it, and STOLE my old sim card and Money.

First id like to correct a previous error. The sim card kits are supposed to cost $20. I would like to add that my total instead of $50 should have been $40. the $50 credit they charged me for only costs $40 because it comes with a bonus $10. I went today and the salesman wasn't there and they didn't know when he would be there. They made me wait forever , i left. minutes after leaving he calls me. He says he charged me $70 because its $50 for the monthly fee and 20 for the sim card kit thats needed for a new activation. I specifically had asked him the day of the sale why i need another sim card doesn't it already come with one? he said no, some do but i still need one for my phone to work. He just continued to say that he chrged me correctly, that i should have said i was there to make a payment only and he would just have charged me $50 for adding minutes(the monthlty plan cost $50. He sold me a boost $40 card with free$10 extra credit for for $50. He lied to me that my phone didn't have a sim card and needed a sim kit(card included to work)> and then he stole my old sim card out of the phone and when confronted with "where is it", he states that he doesn't recall and it was probably disposed of.

Totally scam oriented unfortunately preying on the uninformed consumers. Who knows how many others they have scammed, and will continue to scam. Don't let it be you. They point the fingers at boost, boost implicates them. It's so obvious they are a company who has a tendency to prey on it's consumers . They could have easily apoligized gave me my old sim card and refund me my overcharge of $30 , in good faith to show that it was just a misunderstanding as they called it. Instead the The sales man Oscar P. denied wrong doing and refuses to try to make it right. Pretty much saying whats done is done.
* Also be carefull, boost mobile is no contracts, but the company requests personal information from you anyways and keeps it in their files. For what purpose? Boost says that they have no reason to collect personal info, because there is no contracts(that's the beauty) that you can add minutes , activate new lines ,....on your own through the phone itself, all you have to do is buy the sim kit /minutes and do it yourself. I would still like to know why they ask for your personal info.
