National Mortgage Help Center Dennis Mayers Dennis Mayers Harrased me at work and called my boss and left threating voice mails when we decided not to do business with him. Las Vegas Nevada

 I was contacted by a man named Dennis Mayers who stated he was affiliated with our mortgage company though the National Mortgage Help Center to do a loan modification due to a hardship my husband were going through.  He promised to lower our house payment from $1400.00 to $500.00 whithin 30 days if we mailed him a money order for $900.00, then another $900.00 each month for 3 months.  He stated that he would prove that our bank bought our loan fraduantly and he would prove it.  My husband and I debated back and forth because we have heard of scams like this and we didn't know who to believe.  When I asked Dennis how he know so much about our loan and finances, he stated that I filled something out online. (which I did not).  He would call from 3 different phone numbers 2 of which were bogus numbers and one was from Illinios although he claimed he lived in Las Vegas.

After doing some reasearch and seeing all the people that have been scammed this way we decided we did not want his services.  We never sighed any paper work or agreed to anything with him. He stared calling our cell phones leaving messages asking when we mailed the money order. We ignored his calls. A couple of days later, he started calling me at work.  He called about 5 times on my direct line one day and I ignored all of them. He then called the switch board operator and asked to speak with my boss.  He told my boss that it was urgent that he speak with me about a business matter.  Of course my boss thought it was a customer that I had not followed up with. My boss told him that he would give me his number and tell me to call him.

I was asstonished that he took that appoach to reach me. (VERY SHADY), but I did call him back.  As I was telling him that we no longer needed his assistance, and we had our finances handled, he began sreaming at me saying "NO YOU DONT, NO YOU DONT" over and over.  I told him that he needed to stop calling me at work and not to call me AT ALL at any number , he still kept yelling and I hung up on him.

I contacted the switch board operator and asked them to make a note not to transfer this guy to anyone in my office.

Over the next hour he kept dialing my number, the first few times I answered and said nicely "I'm asking you one last time to stop calling me" He started yelling again saying he called the sherrrif.. WHY????? Makes no sense.

Dennis Mayer (if thats really his name) dialed my work number 45 times in a row.  I started just picking up the phone and slamming it down over and over.

During this time, I blocked all 3 of the numbers he used from calling our cell phones and I called the police.

The officer I spoke with called Mr. Mayers and left him a message telling him to stop calling me.

Still this crazy man continued to call over and over all day long.

The next day I was on vacation for the 4th of July.  He called my office again on the 4th of July, sounded either very drunk or very high and left me a voice mail screaming and yelling telling me we were going to be evicted from our home, and called us a dirt bag home owner, and said that he could not WAIT until we lost our house and he would make sure we never lived in another house in the state of georgia. This dude sounded like he was straight out of a mental hospital.  He just kept repeating the same things over and over and over.

Once I heard this message I went straight to the police department and filed for a restraining order against him for harrasing me at work.

The light at the end of the tunnell is that we were fortunate enough to recgonize the scam and we are not in forcloser with our home, so I'm still wondering how he thought he would have us evicted.

We have now had about 3 other people calling wanting to do the same thing, they will tell you not to pay your mortgage and pay them and they will handle everything with the bank. NOT TRUE, but they are VERY good at makeing you believe them.
