A few weeks ago I got a notice in my mail stating my bank account had been overdrawn. As I usually keep tabs on what I spend and what I deposit into my account, I usually do not log -into the online banking report that my bank offers. Seeing as how this was odd as I just deposited money before I left for a trip, I knew that I didn't spend as much as they claimed I had while on my trip. I log in and check my account and noticed a charge for 14.95 that I didn't make. I called to my bank and asked them about the overdrawn charges and the charges for 14.95. The girl at my bank noticed that these charges of 14.95 were done monthly to my account since March of 07. (This is now Jan of 08) Over that time almost $170 was taken by this company from me - unknowingly to myself. I called their number and asked what they were which they then gave me the usual company schpiel and then told me the website: Travelocity.com had given them the OK to charge my account monthly! They didn't care if I OK'ed it - just as long as someone told them it was ok to steal money from me! So with their charges plus $75 -the company costed me almost $300 - which is a LOT to a working college student. The company has ceased their charges and I'm still waiting to hear from my bank about refunding my charges - only they said they'd refund $120. The overdrawn charges, plus other months that place billed me wouldn't be refunded to me.
