I searched for a at home jobs, found this & applied. was contacted with this email -subject- Interview Update
this was the message i recieved:

Good DayWe wish to inform you that you have been selected for an online interview by the company(Portable Computer Inc) in respect to the resume posted on your homepage.. Hence, It will be required of you to set up a yahoo messenger and add or instant message Mrs Carol Durose at pc.desk@yahoo.com for more details about the job and interview.RegardsJohn JohnsonHuman Resource Dept

So i added this carol to my yahoo IM list & sent an IM stating I wished to recieve more info on the job/interview process. i did recieve an IM back ust stating hello, how are you. thought it was very odd but i thought i'd keep giving it a chance.

when i finally did their online IM interview this was how it went:

me: hello
me: had stepped out of the house for a few minutes
me: i'll be online the rest of today & will check back frequently to see if you are back online

BUZZ!!!
Carol Durose: Have you been interviewed?
me: not yet, how does the interview work?
Carol Durose: Is an online interview
Carol Durose: Are you Ready now?
me: yes
me: i am ready to interview, is it through the IM ?
Carol Durose: Good
Carol Durose: Hold On
me: ok

after this i waited for 30 minutes with no response so I sent another IM
the rest is as follows

me: just curious how long does this take?
Carol Durose: aRE YOU READY NOW?
me: yes
Carol Durose: Good
me: is the interview done through the IM?
Carol Durose: Yes
me: are you available to do the interview now?
Carol Durose: Good
me: are you the one who does the interview?
Carol Durose: Yes
me: ok lets start.... whats your first question for me?
Carol Durose: Whats your full name,sex age and where are you located?
me: i'm in phoenix, "me", 24.... after the online interview is there a phone or live interview?
Carol Durose: No
Carol Durose: Why do you want this job?
me: i'd like to work from home
me: my husband is in school so we need my income until he graduates but we'd like to get into a home & start a family in the next 2 years so i'd like to work from home to start reaching that goal
me: i'd like to be at home so i can start a family but still continue to work
Carol Durose: How long have you been looking for this job?
me: just recently
me: a friend told me about it & i searched it on careerbuilder
Carol Durose: Ok
Carol Durose: Are you aware that this is strictly online and a work from home job?
me: yes
me: do you have a customer service line in case there is questions or any complications that i can call for help? how does the job work?
Carol Durose: Its stricly An online job
me: if there is questions do you have a contact that can be reached by email?
me: or does the company have a website i can go to?
Carol Durose: Yes But it's Presently under Costruction
me: ok, i just want to make sure that this is a ligetimate job & not a scam.... the website is under construction? where do you send people for help in the mean time while the site is being worked on?
Carol Durose: Everything is done online
me: & what is the expected time frame that the website will be up & running?
Carol Durose: In few weeks
me: am i talking with a live employee or is this an automated system?
Carol Durose: life interview Passonnel
me: what is the job i would be doing? & how do i start? again, i do want to make sure this is ligetimate
Carol Durose: Yes it is
Carol Durose: You can only be Accepted if you can pass my interview
me: well if accepted what does are the job duties? can you explain what i would be doing?
Carol Durose: Alot
Carol Durose: But you will get to know as we Proceed
me: in all honesty this seems alittle shady to me, if you can not tell me now what the job duties are i am not sure i'm willing to proceed.
me: any interview i've ever been at has been able to tell me upfront what i am applying for & what my job requirements are.....
me: i have other job possibilities in the works & i am starting to feel this is a scam..... what is the job i am applying & interviewing for?
Carol Durose: You Farworded your resume Applying for Data Entry, AdministrativeClerk
Carol Durose: Please i dont want more of your insult
Carol Durose: Have a nice day
me: yes i did forward my resume.... but since you can not answer my questions than i do not believe this to be a job i would want nor do i feel its a ligetimate job

PLEASE TAKE NOTE: something to be aware of if someone is NOT answering your questions it can be automated or a scam. also note this person/or automated whatever has some misspelling as well as caps & lower case backwards!
i did some research & did NOT find a website or a link to a website for this company only a ton of job search engines with the same job posting.
my educated guess this is a scam. please be weary of it!
