Regions Bank In Memphis, Tn Visa Debit Card Scam! Memphis Tennessee

Please do not expect good customer service when you open an account at a Regions Bank, especially if you live far away from one!
I opened up an account at a Regions Bank in Memphis, Tn in May of 2008. The only reason I opened up this account is for money to be deposited from my rental properties tenants to make it easier for them to pay rent. When I went to open up the account I clearly stated to the man that I wanted a regular checking account and a ATM card to access my funds. He said" We can get you the Visa Debit Check card which is good to use any were visa is accepted!" I said what fees are associated with this Debit card, I only want something to access my money, If I don't have the money in my account, I do not want the card to go though!!!! The desk rep said Yes, that's how it works it is attached to your checking account only!!!
HE LIED, THE Card is a Scam. Not only does it allow you to use it as a credit card, they put an overdraft limit on the card, so you can go over; for their benefit of course because they get to charge you 35.00 overdraft fees.
I have paid several 33.00 dollar fees for transactions as low as 3.15!!!I have paid more money in overdraft fees than I have had in the account!!
I tried to talk to someone at Regions several times about this debit/credit card, but no one responds. I have closed my account at Regions ;after being convinced to do so by the rep who said I understand, but refused to let me talk to a Branch Manager or refund my overdraft money and cancel that check card and I encourage everyone I know to do the same.Not only have they lost my business for my new home I am going to buy, the annunities I was going to transfer to them, the account I had; They have also lost my respect, They
should be charged with fraud for not explaining there product and not caring about their out of state customers!!!!
What type of Bank would rather lose their customers for overdraft fees and not correctly explaining polices, than to correct their communication errors and earn thousands off that same customer by building an Honest relationship?
