Saco River Motor Sports ,Auto Specialties Shot himself in the foot... East Waterboro Maine
*Consumer Comment: Money not the issue
*Consumer Comment: Are you kidding me??
I bought a 98 Grand Caravan from Anthony at Auto Specialties. I felt then, and still feel to some extent, that I got a good deal. The instrument cluster was not working properly and Anthony said he'd take care of it. I ended up taking care of it myself when about 6 weeks went by. turned out to be the Body Control Module. costing about $175. I left the defective part and asked him to call me. No call. I sent him an e-mail that basicly told him he wasn't keeping his word to make it right.
He sent an E-mail back saying I had an attitude and that the van was sold as is. What a guy.

Money not the issue

Only $175? I tracked that part down in Canada, and it was the only one available. I got the part to my mechanic and he put it in at a cost that was very low. My mechanic diagnosed the problem while Anthony sat on his a*s doing nothing and claiming that it was the ignition switch, which he said was on back order (for 6 weeks)! It was only because of my persitence and a good mechanic who was a freind that I got this repaired for "only $175". The dealer wanted $800 for the part plus labor. Any other repair facility would have charged a great deal more. My mechanic didn't charge me for diagnostics. And right is not spelled write.
