Seawest Financial ripoff Westerville Ohio

I bought a car from Varsity Ford in Ann Arbor, MI in September of 2002. Seawest was to handle my loan. My payments were set at 320.82 a month, due on the 20th of each month. Fine, I can live with that and the fact I have a 22.9% interest rate on a Ford Escort, but thats my fault for bad credit and so I have to deal with it to make my credit better. But that's besides the point.

I have been making payments for 18 months now and every single on of them have been at least 5 days early. Never any late, AT ALL! (I got records to prove this.) So I call in Oct of 2003 and post date a check, yes, postdate, just so I made sure it was early. They ended up posting it 15 days after it was due. Mind you, it was postdated and supposed to be processed on the 20th. They proceeded to charge me a late fee.

When I discovered what happened, I called and asked them why. They said it was put in the system late because they were "up to their elbows in s**t". That's right folks, thats the language that was used. WOW!

It took them 5 months to clear that late fee. WHEW! taken care off. HARDLY!, then they sell their company to liquidate assests from being sued by the state. WHOAH! hold up! where is my notice of this? Who bought my loan? where do I make a payment?

The lady at Seawest told me she couldn't help me and that she really didn't care. She said she is going to be without a job and when I responded asking for a phone # to the new company she said look on the inteternet! I find out it is CPS Financial in CA.

I called CPS to make my payment and ask questions. The Seawest employee that was hired by CPS to take care of Seawest loans had no clue....thought he was just transfered because Seawest decided to close. Pretty sad that a customer knows more than an employee that was actually part of the mix.

Last and final complaint was that they changed my due date with out telling me. So today is April 16th. Thought it was due April 20th (yeah, another early payment) WRONG!!!!

They changed my due date to the 10th of each month from the 20th each month......with out a phone call saying it was late, they threw me to their collections department and still NEVER called me. I found this out after searching the internet for a phone number.

This is just more drama than what is in a gay bar!
