 Car went to the shop for  hesitation and poor acceleration and an oil change . Friday  May 31st was the date it was scheduled to be looked at.( I left the the car thursday night)Ok Friday at 3:30m PM   no call yet, so i called and was told that the car was going in to be looked at  right now and i would have a diagnosis and call  before the close of business. no call.  Saturday morning  no call, so i call  at 9:30 AM and am told  it needs a tuneup and coil pack, i say what are we talking about 200.00 bucks??, "yup for the whole shebang" ...direct quote .  I thought that was reasonable , but you guessed it....   about two hours later i'm told the job is $624( and they forgot about the oil change) bringing the price to $691.00.  Part of the expanation was that there is  no after market coil packs... I was later told there they don't use after market parts..    i think what the manager meant when he  originally told me they don't have after market parts is that the garage doesn't have them and  by implication doesn't use them.   either way the work and parts are way overpriced .  incidentally it's Saturday around 4:00 before i get the car back.   manager does take off the oil change but here's the  breakdown for the aggravation.

2 coil packs for 99 camry  279.98 ,spark plug wires 99.99 spark plugs 55.96   almost two hundred dollars worth of labor and  something called a  preventaive maintenace charge of 39.99   i didn't ask for that by the way .

I also  was never asked if  i wanted the old parts, though the invoice says i wished to discard old parts.. and that I refused a bunch of other work, some i did, some i didn't.

If you want hidden charges,  false information on the invoice and poor service  and conflicting information on how much the work costs,this is  the place for you.

i needed the car the next day or i woulod have taken it outta there..

just so you don't think i'm a sullivan hater, i  have been to this location before and was  happy with their brockton location  many years ago, but i won't be back and I suggest you stay away as well...

 Sullivan tire immediately responded to my concerns  and were very accomodating.  They showed a  concern for my experience and were able to remediate the situation quickly and to my satisfaction. in fairness to their expedient and   efficient  response I post this follow up to all  potential patrons of the Sullivan Tire Company.
