I worked at Sunmount DDSO for 14 months.  During this time I feel that I have been an outstanding employee.  I have received some unsatisfactory evaluations during my employment from Gail Smith while my supervisors gave me satisfactory evaluations.  I felt that Ms. Smith was targeting me and treating me unfairly.  After that I requested a meeting with Ms. Smith's superior, Stephanie Dunham, to express my feelings regarding Ms. Smith's actions towards me.  Suprisingly, that request was denied and I was informed that my probation period was to be extended (without reason).  I felt that this was not acceptable and unjust.

I then met with Mary Charter and Ellen Guiney to tell them I wanted to resign due to being mistreated.  Both of them told me not to resign as that is the way Ms. Smith is and she has done this to others in the past.  Ms. Charter and Ms. Guiney asked me to present my case to the "Trainee-ship Council" and let them decide.  The Council voted not to extend my probation period and give me my Grade 11.  Ms. Dunham interviened and overrode the councils decision.  Once again my probation was extended.

I truly believe Ms. Dunham did this because I worked privately at her house prior to my employment at Sunmount.  I quit working for her due to personal disagreements.  I feel Ms. Dunham wanted to seek revenge against me for that reason.  She did not get along with my brother Rod Boushie while he was employed at Sunmount years ago, this is also another reason for personally targeting me.

On March 1, 2012, the first day of my vacation (Ms. Smith knew that I was taking off), I was notified that I was out on Administrative leave without a reason why.  Four days later, I was informed that I was being terminated for taking a day off and calling in for my brother Paul's funeral. 

Working over 600 hours of overtime and never missing a day during my 14 months of employment, I feel that I was wrongfully terminated.  I would like to be re-hired and have a better answer why Stephanie Dunham and Gail Smith actually terminated me.

That was an extremely low thing to do to a person who was an excellent employee.  I believe that both Ms. Smith and Ms. Dunham do not like me for personal reasons and are using that against me profesionally, which is HIGHLY unprofessional!

Oh, joy !!  It's been a while since a post from Tupper Lake appeared on here.  I'm glad to see that the soap opera is continuing.
