I responed to an ad in the paper for a part time job. I was hired but under the condition that i had to buy a basic set of pans plus a family skillet. So I put in the order at a cost of about 2600.I was also told if it didn't work out i could return the pans.

Well I didn't work out. Lanny watkins had us lying to customers about gifts they would recieve, monthly payments and any other lie he could think of to make people buy. Look out he targets military because they're command will make them pay.

I never recieved the pans I order. I recieved a basic set without the family skillet and am being charged for the family skillet. I tried to return them and was told there is a no return policy and they do not take responsibilty for what lanny promises.

I am still owed money for gas for dinners U did and I'm owed some commission. Lanny refuses to pay me. Currently townecraft is ruining my credit because I refuse to make payment until my balance is at least lowered to the correct price for what i recieved minus what i'am owed.

So to everyone looking for a part time job beware they run ads in the paper and put business cards and flyers out

In rebuttal to this complaint, I am so sorry you had this experience.  I am a 1099 worker for  this company in my area and have never been happier.  I'm not happy because I'm making tons of money, I'm simply happy because for the first time in direct sales, I've not had to put any money out in order to sell something for the company I work with.  I work with a wonderful bunch in our local office, they have an A+ rating with the BBB and they've been here since 1974.  What more could you ask for in a company?

I am not expecting them to give me customers, therefore when I don't book dinners or sell products, that's only my fault and no one else's.  I'm driven.  I love the product and I've had my set for 35 years and everytime I've even contemplated buying a different set for the color, or to match my kitchen, etc., I take a step  back.  Because there's no reason to fix what ain't broke.    

I would say that it's possible you hooked up with a dealer who was less than ethical, OR, you didn't do as you were taught, because if you had, you would be happy about your position with this company.   The owner of our local company always follows through, he always does as he says he will do, and he's honest.  In addition, he's got a wonderful reputation.  Lastly, he has never asked me to pay for anything, he never promised to reimburse me for gas to do dinners and he's never made me buy the food.  Go back and re-read your paperwork and look for what you did wrong that gave you such a sour attitude toward this company.  I'll bet you'll find something in there that will clue you in on where YOU went wrong.

i got was the target of a similar scam by an ad in the paper claiming you can make 10 an hour, i was looking for another job so i checked it out, i went to the interview and was asked to come to training, blah blah blah, there was no time sheets no tax papers nothing a regular job would have, instead they said if you make enough sales it would be equivalent or better than 10/hr and then the sales ploy was unleashed on the new ''employees''. i got out before i could be taken advantage of any further, bottom line, every remark or statement out of this Rlyttle fellow sounds like its coming from one of those slime ball sales men that con people into one thing or another, perhaps an independent contractor that employs the same tactics, townecraft has good products but is far to expensive and far from ''the best in the world''. these posts are from people who have been screwed by townecraft or their independent contractors, so i doubt very highly that your literary diarrhea that looks like a script for a slime ball in training holds any relevance here.

to all those folks out there giving townecraft a bad name. all i've got to say is if you bought it to sell get out there.get of your butts and sell the stuff. you don't have to lie the cookware sales its self. i'm a proud owner of the product it saves me money and health and time. no other cookware can do that. life time warranty never buy and cheap cookware again. do you rrealize what that cookware can do?

HARRASING PHONE CALLS TO MY SICK MOTHER

WHEN I WAS WORKING FOR THE COMPANY MY MOTHER PURCHESED A BAKEWARE SET FROM ME TO HELP ME OUT. SHE MADE HER OWN DOWN PAYMENT IN CASH WHICH IS USUALLY DONE BY THE SALES MANAGER IN MY CASE LANNY WATKINS.SHE THEN MADE HER NEXT PAYMENT AND HAS FALLEN VERY ILL AND CAN NOT WORK SO SHE HAS GOTTON BEHIND ON HER PAYMENTS.TODAY (7/11/06). MY MOTHER RECIEVED A CALL FROM A VERY RUDE WOMAN WHO IDENTIFIED HERSELF AS A STATE TROOPER SHE THEN TOLD MY MOTHER A JUDMENT HAD BEEN FILED AGAINST HER FOR MORE THAN THREE TIMES THE AMOUNT OF THE PANS AND THEY WOULD BE THERE TOMMOROW AT 9:00 AM TO SEIZE ALL HER ASSETS INCLUDING FURNITURE AND ANY THING OF VALUE. THEN SHE TOLD HER THE ONLY WAY TO STOP IT WOULD BE TO CALL A COLLECTIONS OFFICE AND SPEAK WITH THEM THE LADY GAVE HER A # TO CALL.

WHEN SHE CALLED THAT NUMBER THE WOMAN TOLD HER THE ONLY WAY TO STOP THEM FROM SEIZING HER ASSETS IS TO GIVE HER A PAYMENT OVER THE PHONE FOR $900.00. STILL MORE THAN SHE OWES. SHE THEN CALLED THE SHERRIFFS DEPARTMENT WHO SAID THAT THERE HAS BEEN NO JUDGEMENT FILED AGAINST HER AND THAT SHE SHOULD FILE CHARGES. WHEN SHE CALMS DOWN AN CAN REGAIN HER STRENTH SHE WILL FILE CHARGES AND I WILL AD HER OWN REPORT WITH MORE DETAILS. THIS COMPANY REALLY NEEDS TO GAIN CONTROL OF ITS EMPLOYEES. IT IS A GREAT PRODUCT BUT IT IS MARKETED AT WAY TO HIGH OF A PRICE AND IN VERY DECEPTIVE AND MISLEADING WAYS.PLEASE WATCH OUT AND DO NOT GET INVOLVED IN ANY WAY
