On April 24th 2012 we contracted with TransAm Financila to be our factoring company for our truck brokerrage. Which in hindsight was a terrible company mistake and we have been paying for that bad decision ever since. From the very beginning, we were under the impression that we were on a 6 month contract which is what was told to us by Jeremy Wadle and would have a whole lot more flexibity than the typical factoring company. True they were way above your typical factoring company in which they did not like returning phone calls or emails, being very unprfessional, rude and downright disrepectful.
The final straw was in May of 2012 when they were left a message informing them that after nearly 3 weeks of no response from them that they should be expecting us to show up on there doorstep. Funny Jeremy Wardle decided to call the following morning bright and early. Submitting invoices to Carrie Maltbie was such a giant headache. With one invoice we have a record of sending it to her over 30 times and her claiming that she was never receiving them. Tying to receive payment from the was another nightmare. You could call and request a release first thing in the morning follow up with an email and still be looking for your funds the following day with the excuse of "Oh I forgot or I never received your request." After receiving all the funds that was owed to us we asked to be released from contract. It is then that were informed that we were on a year contract and could not be released.
From that day we have not ran anything else through TransAm Financial and have found other ways to take care of business. We have since found a company that we want to do business with and was informed that TransAm still has a "hold" on us and that they had filed against our UCC. We then placed a call to Jeremy Wardle and he very nastly told us that 1) we had to submit a request to terminate 90 days before end of contract. Expires April 24 2013 And no guarantees that it will be accepted. 2) even though we havent done any business with them in almost 9 months we cannot be released. We pointed out to him the problems that we have had and why we had not been in contact with them or using there company and he then told us "It is what it is" and slammed the phone down.
Why would you keep hold of a company that is not doing anything for you? It is not helping us and it is not helping you. The service that they provided was unacceptable. The way that they run there business is and was something that we do not and will not do business with. In additon TransXpress wants to be released from TransAm Financial Services so that we may continue to grow our company with a company who stands by there word which TransAm does not. We have recorded calls and emails to show how negligant, rude and unprofessional TransAm is and have been.

Firstly I want to say I am sorry for what you have been through, after working in the transportation industry for awhile. If I was you I would voice your complaint to a few different areas that can help get things moving. First contact the attorney general of Kansas, Trans am's home state at http://ag.ks.gov/, second contact the IFA or International Factoring Association at http://www.factoring.org/ in which over sees all factoring companies, Third contact OOIDA at http://www.ooida.com, lastly contact the BBB or Better Business Bureau at http://www.bbb.org/ . I hope this helps!
