Thrifty Propane Emergancy price gouge troy Ohio

The company is despicable. My parents are 76 years old in Ohio. They pre-purchased Propane from Thrifty Propane. This week  01/22/14. They notice they were getting low on propane. Thrifty Propane told them it would be 7-10 days for delivery and if they wanted emergency delivery it would cost an additional $350. Fearing they were getting too low they did the emergency delivery. Once there they filled what they had pre-purchased.

They found the tank could hold an additional 300 gallons. The driver informed them that the "New" price this week was over $4 per gallon. Twice the pre-purchase price. Thrifty Propane is stealing money on delivery and price gouging. Today 01/28/14 the stated price on the company site is $2.99. With weather -15 Thrifty Propane sees a perfect opportunity make money and price gouge. They didn't make a special trip to my parents. They don't have to gouge their clients. 

Thritfy Propane is stating that it will be 7-10 days to deliver. They know this will scare clients into paying a much higher "emergancy" delivery fee. I dont see how this is any different than gas stations pre-gouging when the twin towers were hit by terrorist. This can not be allowed to continue. This should be criminal. Many of the elderly have fixed incomes and simply cant afford this type of minipulation. How many other clients did they do this to this week.
