I first ordered my flat iron in July 2005 on the internet after I saw the product on tv, I received my first one 5 days later. When I opened my flat iron i noticed that the control switch was broken. I then called the company to request a new one and a return shipping label. The customer service rep said that I should receive a new one with the return shipping label within 2-3 weeks because of the product being on back order.

After 4 weeks of waiting, I called the company only to be told that a new one was not requested, and that the error was probably due to the company being taken over by a new telemarketing company. The cust serv rep then told me that a new one should be to me within 10 days. I called the company back 11 days later and spoke with a extremely rude woman who told me that my order did not get sent out because my credit card didn't go through. I told her that the charge of $14.95 did go through my bank, and had to fax her proof of the charge.

After that was done, I called her back, and she, still being rude told me that they would send out a new flat iron as soon as they received the broken one from me. I told her that I was promised a new flat iron, and a return shipping label, and she said that who ever told me that was wrong. I asked to speak to a manager, and she said that all the managers were in a meeting. Then she hung up on me.

I called back within 2 minutes, and spoke to a gentleman who seemed to want to help me more than the woman. (I guess she was having a bad day?) I told the cust serv rep that I wanted to cancel and he said not to cancel that he would get me a new flat iron asap. The cust serv rep then told me that a new flat iron was ordered and he would find a way to send a return shipping label with it, and to keep the broken one until I received the new one which would be in about 10 days.

I finally received a new flat iron without the return shipping label the second week of Oct. 2005. SURPRISE!! That flat iron wouldn't even turn on, so now I have two broken flat irons, no return shipping label, and many frustrating hours on the phone with rude and lying customer service reps.

I called the same day I recived the 2nd broken flat iron, and asked to cancel my account.(at this time they had taken $39.95 out of my account along with the $14.95) the cust serv rep said that he would send out a new one, with the label and appologized for the problems that I have had. I actually trusted him and almost believed him. He said that a new one would be to me within 2 weeks. I said I'll believe it when I see it. That was the second week of Oct. 2005.

Since then I have left numerous messages with supposed managers voice mails, sent at least 10 e-mails, spoke with so many cust serv reps that I can't even remember how many I have spoke with. I even spoke with a gentleman who claimed to be a manager (that was supposed the second company that took over, now they are on their third take over) spoke with more cust serv reps, and now when you call, you get a message telling you that they are in the process of updating their phones and you can't be transferred to a cust serv rep. but you can leave a message or send a e-mail.

Now I find out that the company has reported me to two collection agencies for the amount of $79.95, well the amount that I was told for the flat iron was $79.95, and they have taken $54.90 out of my account I wonder who does their math? I have called both collection agencies, and they both said that they would put a note on my acct. because I am disputing the charge and to contact the Advanced Beauty Solutions to dispute the charges.

The problem now is you can't get a hold of anyone for the company, and the web site is even gone! You can leave a message, or e-mail them, but they won't respond.

This is the biggest joke, I learned my lesson, but I'm not giving up on getting my $ back.
