This company advertises on TV make's itself look good, through their commercials when they are without a doubt the one of the worst companies in the United States Of America.  They discriminated against me didn't fired me for no reason when I worked very hard.  They encourage Slave-Labor and stress their employee's as much as possible.

They have no respect what so ever for their employee's and will fire anyone who doesn't comply with their goals and expectation no matter what your situation is.  Need proof?  Their bathroom's have slave-labor written all over their wall's because the employee's are so sick of how they treat them.  I talked to my supervisor but he was the one that is corrupt.  You can talk to human resources and they won't do anything.  This company is almost as bad as Fred Meyer another horrible company.

Don't ever work for UPS you regret working for them.

Worst companies in America=UPS, Fred Meyer

Rasict issue or entitlement mentality?

AUTHOR: Rod - (USA)

POSTED: Thursday, November 11, 2010

While trying to give this complainer the benefit of a doubt, I would be very interested in what "...I worked very hard" truly entailed. There are too many persons that feel getting out of bed in the morning is really hard, and reflect that butt-busting effort on any job they may have at that time.

This complainer has shown an evident educational level that cannot be overlooked when considering what really hard work often involves. This complaint includes grammar and punctuation that undoubtedly reflects not only the way he speaks, but with his ability to understand what it takes to perform detailed tasks for a company from which he expects to receive monetary payment. Regardless of whether this is true or not, it is a fact that too many people feel a sense of entitlement by justifying their lack of adequate effort in society while expecting far more in return from society. I believe it is common knowledge that our economy suffers from those who feel working hard (or simply earnestly looking for a job) is too tough, while they are all for the once proposed 2 1/2 years of unemployment compensation and 'free' health care (funded, again, by the 'hard' workers).

Perhaps this complainer could prove he is not one of those lazy few, that expect others to pay his way, by seeking at least the completion of a high school degree aptitude.

When applying for employment with UPS, your odds of being hired greatly improve if you state that your intentions are to continue your education. This shows  UPS that you are adamant with your future goals of both improving your career and yourself as a person. My son worked for UPS for four years. He came home rosy-cheeked one evening and said, "Dad, the work is really hard." My son stuck with it as the pay increased over time. He also had the incentive benefit of UPS reimbursing him $1500 twice a year after submitting his completed college credits. My son also found a solution to the somewhat intense physical effort. He purchased flash cards and filled them out with zip codes for every major city in the USA. He asked me to read the city names and then he would recite by memory the appropriate zip codes. His efforts helped him get a promotion into small sorts, which relieved some of his physical strain. He also received a pay increase for being able to use his brain. (What a concept.)

It would be interesting to get more details about this complaint. I'm also sure that readers of them would sincerely congratulate this frustrated individual if he explains his intents to continue his education. Of course, he could also reply something like, "yea yea yea thanks for a stupid story and lecture that nobody doesn't need. I be hard worker and doesn't need another Fred Meyer you ignerunt slave-laber racist." That's his prerogative.

People naturally consider the source of information. It's really too bad when a person needs to validate a point by reciting what is on bathroom walls.

#3 Consumer Suggestion

I suggest you specify the exact "rip off" here. I don't see it.

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

You failed to identify the exact rip off here. EXACTLY what did they do to you?

Obviously you did not make your probationary period, becuase if you did, the union would be handling the grievance for you. UPS is under TEAMSTERS UNION contract.

I have never seen union wages, benefits, and retiremment referred to as slave labor.

Got to FedEx if you want truly bad wages, working conditions and treatment! You haven't seen anything yet!

So

AUTHOR: Robert - (U.S.A.)

Where is the discrimination or unlawful treatment?

All I see is that you got fired because you didn't "comply" with their goals and expectations.  Umm...unless their expectations are illegal they can fire you for any reason as Washington is an "at-will" state for employment.

They are paying you to WORK.  If you don't want to do what they want then they will find someone who will, and that is very easy right now.

Perhaps you can be a little more specific on the reason you were fired.
