While in the hospital someone gained access to my social security and had it rerouted to a Walmart Green DOT card. I went to the social security office in May and had it fixed to my bank and they were to investigate where the money had went. Yesterday, I get a letter from Social Security that my money was changed to the "financial institution"..once again, I never changed anything. Called Social Security who were extremely rude and not helpful. They told me to contact Walmart. I contacted Walmart and the account number the Social Security office game me was not valid, but through my social number, I was able to find out my deposit that was to be done today to my bank was once again sent to a Walmart Green DOT card. I contacted Walmart's fraud and they are so busy, that I have to leave a message!
Neither the Social Security office or Walmart has been helping me find and stop this or get my money back and we are talking about 5 months of this going on!
Why was I able to at least put a hold on the money deposited today and figure this out, but nobody else has???
We have gotten the Attorney General and our local State Representative and still haven't heard anything from anyone.
I really need help here if you or anyone you know can help me, by submitting a comment with what else I can do. I cannot go without income and this has cause extreme hardship on me.

Is no help either. Been in contact with a detective and he said he has a contact at the ss office, so he's backing off. Well, his contact is no help either. Such a joke. Amazing our tax dollars so NOT at work. Notified Tan Parker our State Rep, no response either:(

Get them straight before you post a comment. It is owned by GE Capitial and Walmart runs it to have people direct their Social Security, VA, etc benefits to a card they own, so you'll buy from them!

Call the police, fraud, theft and Mail fraud are all serious crimes.
Once you have done that make sure the police know Wallmart has done nothing to help.

Walmart DOES NOT own Green Dot. Do you understand this? Green Dot is owned by Synovus Bank. Do some research on the web and find out the bank's number...the main office. Ask for fraud or security department.
