Wells Fargo Financial real estate department when they realized their mistake, they wouldnt release the mortgage, since the people did not own my property, and therefore i lost out on sale of my property..and eventually took a big loss because o urbandale, Iowa

wells fargo erred when they granted a loan on my real estate property to prior owners who no longer owned it. i purchased the property in its entirety oct 2003, from a couple that was split up, yet still married. in dec 2003, the woman of this couple took out a loan in her husbands name, using my property. wells fargo did not do a research on the property, apparently, assuming that the couple still owned it, and granted the loan against my property to them (they no longer owned this property at all). when i went to sell the property, i contacted wells fargo, sent them a copy of all the paperwork, and asked for them to release that mortgage. at first they were all for getting this cleared up..suddenly, i could no longer speak to them for they had sent it to their legal dept. to this day it has not been rectified.
