We had a timeline for moving from Colorado to Louisiana. The home we were in had been sold. We had to be out by the 20th of the month of October. World Moving Services was aware of this. Since we had not ever used a moving service and the ad they had on the BBB web site was so impressive, we decided to give it a try. My husband had a heart attack in June and triple bypass surgery. Well, long story short, we received a phone call that the mover would be there between 3 pm and 5 pm on the 19th. They never showed up! No one notified us as to why or why not. The mover called again and said they would be there between 5 pm and 7 pm on the 20th! In the mean time, we called the customer representative we had arranged the move with and cancelled our services. Knowing that there was no way possible to get a truck there in time from Phoenix, AZ and we had to get out of the house or we would not get our money for the sale. Well, we rented a truck and willing neighbors helped us load. Thank God for good neighbors! In the meantime, the customer service representative did not notify the moving company as he said he would and they called again. The mover himself called at approximately 7:07 pm to say he was about "an hour and twenty minutes away". He had to get help because his truck broke down. A representative called about a week later and said we definitely could cancel the order because of the lack of proper communication and we would get our $631 deposit restored to our account. Today they called and said Alex misspoke and our money would not be returned to us after all. What a RIPOFF! This company cannot be trusted to follow through on anything. If a class action lawsuit is considered, we certainly want to be a part of it. In the meantime, my husband is ill because of the stress and the pressure on his heart. I am worried for him.
