Contacted Appliance Zone using their on-line chat room to confirm the following:

1.  The part is in stock.  They confirmed is was.

2.  The price of the part.  They confirmed the price of $388.86

3.  Confirmed Shipping information. $6.95 to ship part.

After confirming the part was available and the pricing with their customer service rep, I placed the order on 8/24/2015. They charged my card.  Within 24 hours I was contacted by Jessica S. in Customer service.  In her email, they stated the price of the part $465.66 and they would not process my order until I paid the difference.  However, they did offer to sell me the part at $427.11.  Explaining to me that it's not their fault the Manufactor raised the price and that they would not sell the product for a loss.

I responded with no.  You offered the part for sale. You accepted the order and I completed the sale by paying for the product.  I then made it clear that it is unacceptable to demand more money after the sale was completed.  This is a classic bait and switch scam.  They waited 24 hours to reply.  They refused to honor the completed sale and demanded more money to ship the part.

In the meantime I again contacted the company thru the on-line chat room and requested that I speak with the owner of the company.  I thought that given the opportunity the Owner would correct the misunderstanding.  They refused to provided me with a phone number for the company.  They refused to provide me with an email for the owner.  I suggested that he contact me directly.  I provided my phone and email address and I have never heard a word from the owner.

Clearly their refusal to even provide me with a phone number was a huge warning sign.  I then in writing instructed them to cancel the order and credit my account.  That was 8-31-2015.  On 9-1-2015 I received an email from them stating my account would be credited right away.  As of today 10-17-2015 they have not credited my account.  In addition I contracted the credit card company and they started and investigation.  So far the Appliance Zone people have not even responded to the Credit Card Company.

In summary, I believe they misled me when they said they had the part in stock ready to ship.  They then executed a bait and switch scam, demanding more money than previously agreed to.  Be mindful that the price was clearly displayed on their web site. And lastly they have refused to credit my account for a product they never shipped after being instructed in writing to do so.  Now nearly 2 months later still no credit.
