this is my girlfriends email to the so called manager manny!

hello good day Mr. Manny

(((REDACTED)))
And i have a complaint about an employee and a sale @ Arion Motors
550 S state road 7 Plantation FL 33317
the employee's name is Jonathan shamis
He told me initially the the car was selling for 5,995 $
and the vehicle market price is 6,000 $
he also refused to give me a car fax of the car when i asked and i can tell in the front that the car has been in an accident. So he lied (which is illegal) about the vehicle's "good condition" so it is not even worth 6,000$
he told me that the bank just repossessed the car and is trying to get rid of it fairly quickly, but when selling me the car and after printing out the bank finance papers the VEHICLE SELLING PRICE said 8,700$ which is NOT what he sold me the car for.
And before signing these papers i specifically asked why the vehicle selling price said 3,000 over what he told me he was selling me it for , and he replied "oh that's just because your financing it". So he lied to the consumer about the price of the vehicle before signing the papers (which is also illegal) and i have a witness that will say this was true .. & after going home and reviewing these papers I realized he was selling me the car for 8,700 and after financing it for the 3 year with a large 28.9% interest rate i was paying 13,000$ which is outrageous.
I really like this car but i do want the finance of my car renegotiated to the price he was originally selling me it for. before he lied to me when I asked. Please if you can just look over the papers I am faxing to you and talk to your employee so we can renegotiate that would be very helpful.

How did you not notice the price of the vehicle on the contract?

AUTHOR: FloridaNative - ()

POSTED: Friday, May 23, 2014

Read the contract right away to see if there is a clause that allows you to return the car and unwind the deal. Probably not, but it is worth reading the contract to find out.

Then the next thing to check is for a pre-payment penalty. If you pay off the vehicle now by refinancing it through a local credit union, is there a penalty for early pay off? Again, probably not, but check the contract so you know for sure.

Next, refinance the vehicle through your credit union or local bank. No reason to pay 28%.

Two things are very clear from your post  1) you didn't read the purchase agreement before you signed it and 2) English is a second language for one or both of you.

It is critical to read any contract before you sign it. If you don't have the ability to read and understand the contract, then take it to an attorney that represents you to read and explain the contract to you. Since English is not your primary language (based on the email you provided in your post), then make sure that the attorney's office translates the contract into your native language so you understand what you are signing.

If the car dealer won't wait for you to have an attorney review the contract - then don't sign it. Get up and walk away and find a dealer that will wait until you get the contract translated into your native language.

In the meantime, see if you can unwind the deal and if you can't, then refinance it.
