Bullet Marketing is one of thousands of affiliates of Smart Circle International (formerly known as Granton; Cydcor; WWI; DS-Max... I'm probably leaving some out here, but you get the picture, right?)- a multi-level marketing company that preys on the young and unsuspecting and lures you in with deceptive recruiting tactics and promises of a fast-track to success "management training program." Fast-track to bankruptcy is more accurate. My time in the business (4 months, but with 80 hour work weeks it feels like an eternity- anyone who has been in the business knows what I mean) left me with debt, disillusionment (finally), and a very bad taste in my mouth. To anyone considering a position, allow me to tell you what they won't, at least not up front. One- the success rate is extremely low, not so much because it's a bad business model, just bad business. Most people realize it's a scam sooner or later, which is why the turnover rate is so ridiculously high. Two- be prepared to pay for people's training out of your own measly check. That is the unspoken investment which qualifies- beyond a doubt- this "opportunity" as just another shady pyramid scheme. Oh, and the exciting road trips they require you to run before being promoted- you pay for those. But don't worry, they will help you find the cheapest deal for your one-room accomodations- which is what Dominic actually suggested the four of us to stay in for a week. And management is not the prestigious lifestyle they lead you to believe it is. If you did somehow manage to make it through the field without going into debt, you will need a loyal crew and about ten grand to open up your office. Most offices fail, and managers like Dominic go into debt to the point where they apparently can't afford to pay people what they've earned. There is currently a group of us actively engaged in seeking justice... we all quit on the same day after some things were brought to our attention. For me it was the money missing from my check each week- my last one was short hundreds- a grand total of 23.09 I was paid! Get excited. One week I didn't even get a check on account of having to pay for other people's training. A report has been filed with the Department of Labor and hopefully we will shut down at least this one office, but they are all over the country. Which is why we are making an effort to bring Smart Circle's shenanigans into the light of the media, and spare everyone the misfortune of being duped by this sleazy, slippery corporation.

#4 UPDATE EX-employee responds

THE SMART CIRCLE SCAM

AUTHOR: HJ - (United States of America)

POSTED: Friday, October 12, 2012

In El Paso, Texas, Smart Circle International operates under the name of GATEWAY INTERACTIVE MARKETING. And this office is run by Kyle and Tyler.

While working for them I would work 11 days, and have only one day off. And I would have to attend morning meetings (Mon-Sat) from 8:30-9:30am. Even if I was working afternoons, I would have to go across town for this meeting.

My pay checks, for hours worked, would be 77 hours. All I was paid for was 35-40. AND I HAVE SIGNED TIMESHEETS TO BACK THIS UP!

All I was ever paid was $7.25 an hour. NEVER received the promised comission. I have family that works at Sams, so I have print-outs of what went through the register -- hour by hour.

These people prey on those who need jobs. The quality of the product is very poor. And the bosses position on my religion is poor! I HAVE THEM BOTH RECORDED SAYING VERY BAD THINGS ABOUT ISLAM AND MUSLIMS. (Read what is attached to this post).

Don't work for these people. EVER!

THE FOLLOWING IS POSTED TO MY WEB PAGE!

AsSalamu Alaikum,

My Brothers and Sisters in Islam, I have wanted to make a statement. A statement that answers some of what our Christian friends have been saying. Before this, I didn't have first hand experience to respond. Now I do.

On AM radio I hear both talk show hosts, and callers say that Islam is violent, vindictive, and without mercy. Many of these callers say that as Christians they don't discriminate against Muslims. That America is a free country, as long as those who are here are peaceful.

I know s**+'a and Sunni fight -- a stupid battle that must come to an end. We are ALL Muslim. And this fighting adds fuel to the fire for those that seek to bash Islam.

END THE SECTARIAN VIOLENCE NOW!

Now I have an issue. This concerns my job, and a boss that is a militant Christian.

While working for a marketing company I made it clear that I would adjust my break times to follow the timings for Salat. There seemed to be no problem with this. I made lots of sales -- I was one of the top performers for this company.

Well, then there was the backlash I began to receive from my co-workers. They would taunt me, saying 'why would an American become a s**+'a Muslim?' I did my best to answer. I did.

Little things would happen. They began to show me pornographic photos/videos. I would find bacon on my car. They would pretend to speak Arabic and Farsi while I made Salat.

Today, Sunday (October 7th) I was removed from the work schedule, because I am s**+'a Muslim! My boss has made rude remarks about Islam, and Muslims in the past. Today I was told I would not be put on the schedule until I confessed my sins, and became a Christian.

Christians talk about how they love everyone. How they have concern for the worlds welfare. Yet my Christian boss fires me because I won't become a Christian.

Christians, let me ask you this: How is this Christ like? How am I to support my family while I look for a new job? How do I feed my wife and son?

Christians need to stop talking about Islamic affairs until their affairs are in order!

UPDATE: 9 October

I have contacted the Texas Workforce Commission, and the Wage and Hour Board (because I was never paid for all my hours worked). Both of these government agencies cannot help. Why? Because the company I worked for doesn't make over $500,000 a year.

I am going to continue calling around for help. Continue to make Du'a for us.

NBC 5 is coming to my house today to do a story on these companies after a letter I wrote to them. Hopefully we can bring this scam into the light.

Also a victim

AUTHOR: Elissa - (United States of America)

POSTED: Wednesday, July 27, 2011

I worked for Impact Events in Bedford. It was also a Smart Circle scam. I have sent a letter to the Star Telegram, and NBC 5 telling them about my story. These people need to be stopped.

#1 Consumer Suggestion

Not to be confused with BULLETT marketing

AUTHOR: Tbullett - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, April 09, 2009

I am the owner of Bullett Marketing, located in Florida, and I just wanted to post a rebuttal advising consumers not to confuse Bullet Marketing with Bullett Marketing. My website is almost identical, with the extra T making it bullettmarketing.com. Bullett is my last name, therefore I had no intentions of being similar to this rip off company. So please contact me at info@bullettmarketing.com for any further information. Thank you!
