I recently paid for a travel package through Corporate Travel Gifts who represents themselves as a wholesale travel agency that works with the major airlines and hotel and resort chains. In reality what they do is charge in advance for a travel package and then direct you to another company that provides the "Free Vacation and Travel Packages" we often hear about or receive at time share presentations, etc. Once the money is charged to your credit card it's gone forever. I was directed to PTS Travel in Tampa FL who has a number of complaints against them for failure to deliver, etc. PTS (Prestige Travel Services) does not answer their phones or return calls. I contacted Corporate Travel Gifts and expressed my dissatisfaction to no avail. There are no refunds or similar travel options that they would or could provide. Instead they offered me a three night package and a credit to replace my 7 night prepaid vacation. No refunds or similar travel arrangements even though they claim to work with all of the major providers. Basically they informed me that even though PTS Travel would not respond to my inquiries there was nothing they would do. I've disputed the charge with PayPal, the company that processed the payment and Corporate Travel Gifts has declined to offer a refund.

Again more double talk. What good is a credit to a scam anyway?

Sorry but no, I'm not interested in your "credit" Any legit company refunds the purchase price to a dissatisfied customer. End of story.

Spin it however you like...this stinks and you know it.

Regarding this post & our policies

AUTHOR: Ctg - (U.S.A.)

CTG does not represent itself as a travel agency of any kind. Our Terms of Service highlight this, & our site clearly represents itself as a marketplace who supplies packages from outside vendors (our front page states the following at the bottom of the page as a clear example of this)

=====================
HOW CAN WE OFFER THIS? Hotels & travel companies contract with our vendors to provide great rates in the hopes that you'll stay longer, eat in their restaurants, spend money at their spas, shops, casinos, AND return! We offer the excess packages to the public for wholesale rates!

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE? Nope! These are simply prepaid by vendors in bulk. Excess packages are then discounted for guests who can also book in advance! We simply act as a marketplace for customers to take advantage of these incredible offers & brand name properties!

HOW DO I BOOK? Buy online & receive directions via email on how to contact your designated reservation center. Generally you choose your destination first, travel dates next, & finally your choice of hotel or resort. This process may vary slightly depending on your package.
=====================

Our refund & exchange policy is also clear all over different sections of our website - including this link - http://www.corporatetravelgifts.com/Our_Guarantee_s/24.htm

where it states the following:

================================
100% VALUE GUARANTEE! Because these packages are generally pre-paid, once the package info has been sent, we cannot issue refunds, but if for some reason you decide not to use your Vacation Package - we will be happy to exchange it for one of equal or lesser value!

HASSLE FREE EXCHANGE! Simply call or email us with your information, then send your unused package information to our mailing address. Upon receipt we will issue you a immediate exchange or gift certificate for the exact same amount of the package purchased! NO QUESTIONS!
================================

Regarding this particular customer, we offered a 5 day package to the same destination (which can be extended) AND an additional credit to match the exact value of the item purchased, as per our policy, which buyers agree to when purchasing from our site. Not a 3 day package as this buyer suggests.

We asked this buyer to simply return the vacation package he did not want to use, & that we would immediately issue the new package through an entirely different vendor if he was displeased with the one provided initially. This buyers complaint about PTS is based on old online reviews about one particular branch - our vendors answer their phones & fulfill all travel in house & have done so for over 20 years.

The buyer never returned the package in question but if they chose to do so, we would be & will be happy to issue a FULL credit for the value of the package, just as we would for any customer for any reason, no questions asked, per our policy as stated online. In some cases we are willing to offer a credit ABOVE the initial value of the package.

CTG did not "decline" to refund. Because our packages are prepaid & have a value to us up front, we cannot simply ship them out for free, & then issue a full refund for a package we have already paid for as well. Our policy is clear for any buyer to see, not hidden, & our exchange policy is 100% value guaranteed if you are unhappy for ANY reason with your purchase, as long as it is returned to us, which is a simple matter of dropping it in the mail.

In addition, there is no relation between the packages we offer & timeshare presentations. No sales gimmick or timeshare presentation is required to use our packages. Yes, many companies offer 3 day 2 night getaway packages at timeshare pitches, & yes we also offer 3 day 2 night getaways - but no timeshare is required, & only brand name hotels rated 4 star or above by AAA are offered through our packages, unlike those given away free at sales presentations.

If you wish to return the package you are displeased with, you have our address & we will be happy to offer you whatever combination of packages you see fit to match or even exceed the value of the package you purchased in order to rectify this situation. We thank you for voicing your concerns so that we may address them publicly, & welcome any questions regarding our products or policies from yourself or any other readers.
