Dawn Hew/Victory Lane Farm Worst thoroughbred farm ever Millbrook New York

I moved my horses to Victory Lane Farm after they were not being properly cared for at another farm.  I was promised the world.  I asked Dawn the day rate which she said was $30/day.  I agreed to the day rate.  She said that we would get much more than we had gotten at the other farm at $24/day.  That is when the lying began.  She then said that her cell phone did not pick up well at her farm and that she would just text.  Well, it is not that her cell phone does not work, it is that she does not like to answer her phone.  She did not send the first bill until well into the second month I had my mares at her facility.  When I got the bill, I was astonished.  She charged me all kinds of bogus overage fees that other farms include in their day rate.  She then charged me in advance for the following month.  My first bill from her for 2 mares and 2 babies was well over $5000.  She charged me for a groom staying over.  She charged me a $500 foaling fee.  She charged me $30 for sending the jockey club dna in.  The list goes on and on.  Her reason was that New York is more expensive than Kentucky.  

That is false.  I checked around at other farms and their day rates are much lower and the "add-ons" as she calls them are included.  

She then did not inform me that my horse had a hernia and that my filly had injured herself in her back legs.  She refuses to get on the phone and when she does she has an extremely unprofessional demeanor.  She is a greedy money hungry woman that does not communicate and she treats her clients very poorly.  

My vet bills were astronomical.  She might as well have had the vet feeding the horses herself.  And the vet (Millbrook Equine) is also very proud of their fees.  The vet was in attendance almost every other day and I still was not informed about the hernia or the injuries to my horses back legs.  It is amazing that these people are in business as badly as they treat their clients.
