I bought a Scottish Terrier from Deanna Allen and paid 850.00 for my puppy. She says she stands behind her puppies, but she does not. My scottie has SCOTTIE CRAMPS!!!! She had to know one of her dogs had this genetic problem and proceeded to breed these dogs and sell them as healthy dogs. when I called she told me she would give me another dog and call back in 2 days. now She will not answer. What kind of sick person would breed to a sick dog and sell the puppies? DON'T BUY FROM THIS PERSON SHE SELLS SICK DOGS!!!!Deanna Allen or Terry Allen

Contact info for Deanna Allen

AUTHOR: KFriend - (USA)

POSTED: Saturday, April 15, 2017

Hello we purchased a Scottie from a pet store here in Ohio. The breeders name was Deanna Allan from Mansfield Mo. we can't seem to contact her now though. Our dog was the best dog in the entire world and he passed away this past December. We would like to contact her to see if we would be able to get another dog from his family line. Does anyone know how to contact her??

Deanna Allen Scottish Terriors

AUTHOR: Pamela Choate - ()

POSTED: Friday, May 23, 2014

My husband and I purchased a scottie from Deanna 3 years ago.  Rosie passed away last week, but this was not due to anything Deanna did.  Rosie was a beautiful scottish terrior.

We went to Deanna's home to pick up Rosie.  Her house was spotless and she had scottish terriors and other dogs there.  My husband and I were very impressed with her and her dogs.

I called Deanna today, and we are definitely going to purchase another scottish terrior from her.

From what I understood, Deanna was having major health issues and was not able to respond to Ginger right away, but she DID end up responding and replaced the puppy.  Also, allowing Ginger to keep her original dog.

Deanna has also been a "victim" here of circumstances beyond her control.

Please do not let one person who jumped the gun, so to speak, ruin her reputable dog breeding business.

Good Breeder

AUTHOR: Denise - ()

POSTED: Monday, November 04, 2013

For those people asking whether if they should buy from Deanna a scottie I would say YES definitely do. She is a good breeder who obviously got screwed over by a 3rd party Sir Bills. She made right by Ginger and me. Deanna also informed me since found out about Ginger's scottie that those parents are no longer breeding. I have looked over other breeders online and am noticing how hard it is for other breeders to make things right when a mistake is made. No matter whom you purchase your scottie there is always a small chance he might have scottie cramp. There is no way to DNA test for scottie cramp and I rather buy from someone who does do right by her health guarantee. The health guarantee is what most people look for when shopping for a dog and for good reason.

She has gone above and beyond to make things right and I'm glad I purchased Wally from her and not someone else. I am sure the dogs she has are not "returned" dogs as I saw someone ask that worried. Deanna said I could keep Wally and I'm sure Ginger must've got the same option. Deanna understood people get attached to their dogs and never even made a mention to that to receive a refund like I've seen Sir Bills do on consumer reports. I'm crossing my fingers Deanna gets a wheaton Scottie or really brindle puppy as I would really enjoy having a dog to go on walks with in the park. Even though Wally has scottie cramp ,I would still get another dog from Deanna if she has the color I want which says alot to those thinking of buying a dog from her.

age?

AUTHOR: Debby - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 01, 2013

To- both people who had dogs with this disorder - How old were your dogs when they started displaying the symptoms for Scotty cramp?   Lord,  if I had a dog for a year or more, I'd get so attached to it, that I couldn't just trade him for another one.

What do you think they do with the puppies that are returned?

Black and silver Scottie

AUTHOR: Ginger - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 31, 2013

The Scottie I bought from her was a black and silver. She did replace him with another one. She said that she bought her male with the scottie cramps from "Sirbills Scotties" in Alabamama. and Sirbills will not stand behind her dogs and still sells sick dogs. Sirbills says she gives a 2 year guarantee, but will not stand behind the guarantee, beware!!!

Black and silver

AUTHOR: Ginger - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 31, 2013

Mine was a black and silver and he is so sad to watch try to run. But she did rplace him. However she said she got her male from "Sirbills Scotties" Ans Sirbills Scotties has a terrible reputaion of not standing behind her dogs. That is where the Scottie cramps came from. Sirbilld is breeding sick dogs and does not stand behind her 2 yrear guarantee.

Question about Allen dogs

AUTHOR: Debby - ()

POSTED: Thursday, October 31, 2013

I am looking at a 15 week old puppy from Deann in Mansfield, MO.  Now I am worried about getting the dog.  I want a black and silver scotty and have only been able to find two breeders that have them.  Does this affect their health, other than their gait?  When did you get your dog from her and at what age did this disorder show up?     I'm wondering if the puppy I am considering might have been returned - but not sure this problem would show up in a puppy this age.   She is asking $700 for the puppy.  Do you know who the mother and father were of the dog you - or anyone - bought from her?  This is the ad for the puppy: http://www.puppyfind.com/view_listing/?list_id=zz76a6b9cu&back=%2Ffor_sale%2F%3Fbreed_id%3D95%26country%3D%26state%3D%26page%3D10%26order_by%3Drand%26back%3D%252Fbreed%252F%253Fbreed_id%253D95%2526back%253D&alert=sent&sid=fdc491c893bc126d42256da70118af06     .  I had a scotty for 12 years, who died this year.  I've never heard of this Scotty Cramp, but my dog did have a "skip" in his hind legs when he walked.  I'm not sure if he had this, but if he did, it wasn't extreme.

Thanks, Debby  Clements  Peachtree City, Ga. 30269    dmcdlj@gmail.com

Making things right

AUTHOR: Denise - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, October 23, 2013

She called me back and is trying to make things right. She was busy due to personal issues so I understand not getting back to me so soon. After reading up on scottie cramp I do see how it can be missed in puppies. There is really no way to find out until puppies show it which is usually in first year. Ginger I hope things went well for you and you got a healthy beautiful puppy now.

exact same thing happened

AUTHOR: Denise - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, October 22, 2013

I'm sorry to hear your dog has scottie cramp. I also purchased a dog from deanna allen/terry kennels and it also has scottie cramp. She said would be giving me a replacement puppy but have been emailing and no response. I will be calling her tomorrow as she had mentioned that she was having a litter over a month ago. I am curious if she made things right with you? I am starting to wonder if I got scammed as well as she mentioned that this most recent litter would be her last. I paid $800 for a wheaton scottish terrier male plus the $200 shipping fee.
