Normally I would agree that it isn't pretty to see naked bigotry... however, it is needed once in a while to put truth to the lie that America no longer has discrimination.

When a person says that they were discriminated against for a job, or a loan, or for "drving while black" people refuse to believe them and want to say that it doesn't happen anymore. That the person is just "using the race card" to make up for their own failings.

People sneer at affirmative action and multi-culturalism trying to turn them into dirty words. However, it is just allowing people to be who they are and to make the most of the American dream despite the hatered and bigorty of some.

Protecting speech we may agree with is easy. Protecting speech we don't agree with is what makes this country one worth living in and defending.

He probably thought that he was being witty. If he has any friends he probably says stuff like this and misses the cringing that they do each time.

Rush and Michael Moore and even DBuck need to have their right to free speech protected. We can agree or disagree. Either try to ignore them or engage them in discussion.

Fortunately, I don't think that DBuck is in any position to be supervising or hiring so we probably don't have to worry about him. He will remain on the bottom of the food chain and wonder how it is that a black man, or maybe better yet, a black woman is his boss!

Sandra, I love your first reaction to shut him down... that shows passion and understanding of the danger of bigotry to the American dream which should be shared by all.

People try to belittle attempts to end discrimination as "Thought Police" or "Political Correctness"... it isn't thought that is trying to be controlled... it is action. Where someone can use their stupid views to harm others just because they are different.
