 So I've been paying my directv bill late. They send me their bills online but I never open them. I've only been with them 7 years (they always remind me of that when I call). So I recently split from my wife & now I really have to watch the $$. My bill was the 1st. I had them credit me for the 2 weeks I didn't have a place to stay and I noticed my bill was still the same!! So I called & as we were going over the bill, they mentioned I was being billed $37.49 for the NFL Sunday Ticket!! They asked if I hadn't noticed it in my ebills or noticed the jump in my price. No, I said. I just paid just before they disconnected the service.

So Iescalated and got to talk to Samantha in CO (100352404). She said they could not cancel it & neither would I be getting credit for the time I'd already been billed for. I hung up.

So let me get this straight:

You are upset because you are paying extra every month, but yet you admit that you never opened the bills that they sent you? Now you are mad because you can't get your money back on the NFL Sunday Ticket? Their website, as well as the rep that signed you up told you that it automatically renews every year and that you have to cancel it before the season begins or you will be charged. So your failure to open and thoroughly inspect your monthly bill before making your payment is Directv's fault how????

I feel your pain, however, as a consumer you have a responsibility as well to inspect your bill for accuracy. I am a Directv customer as well and I inspect my bill each month before making my payment. The bill even shows auto renew and is printed on your bill BEFORE it happens. Therefore, I feel its partially your fault for not paying attention. It's all over the website and told to you when you sign up that it auto renews. Cancel it as soon as the season ends and your problem will be solved!!!!
