I ordered a product off of eBay and it was defective. I sent it back to the seller and they never refunded my purchase according to the ebay eBay buyer protection.
There is NO PROTECTION from after 30 days and that information is so buried that it would take you 30 days just to find it. When dealing with the Chinese seller just the communication to send it back took longer than 30 days. They essentially told me to go ahead and file legal action.
I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and eBay gave every excuse in the book and did not honor their “money back guarantee” policy.
I have now filed a complaint against eBay with the Illinois State’s Attorney for consumer fraud. I doubt that will do anything. Ebay stole my money and got away with it. My only hope os to let others beaware that eBay is a scamming company and will never give you money back if what you ordered is defective.
p.s. don't buy from china, the reputation is well earned.
