First Capital Consumers Group ripoff Fraudulent business & Consumer fraud Ontario Canada

On May 25,2002, I received a phone call from First Consumer Capitol promising all these wonderful things: a$2,000.00 unsecured MasterCard,no credit check, a free cell phone, a free computer, free lawyer services, etc for a simple processing fee of $219.00 which would be automatically debited from my checking account. They gushed I would be receiving my welcome packet in 2-3 weeks, which would list all my wonderful perks and contain a card to mail back which would issue and activate my card. This I received.

After 2 months of not receiving my card I called the consumer service center to inquire. The gentleman assured me, after a thirty minute international call, that this sometimes happens, they get lost, to wait at least another 4-6 weeks.

Needless to say, 2 months later,nothing! The lady I talked to this time was extremely rude and refused to let me talk to a manager or supervisor. This call lasted approximately 45 minutes with her telling me she would file a formal lost card complaint and they(whomever they are) would contact me by phone or mail.

Three weeks later I called again. The number had been disconnected! I recently acquired internet access and decided to see if I could locate their offices when I came across your site.

Boy, do I feel foolish. I have filed several complaints. Thank You for informing me. At least now I have some idea where I stand.
