I Had an Account with Regions Bank that i closed in 2006 because of financial reasons. in May 2008 I was contacted by Nationwide Credit about the Balance i owed on the account. I was told by them that if i took care of it that day they could settle it for about half of what was owed. I paid them 392.50 they said that it was settled and they would send me a letter in the mail, I had a baby 2 weeks later and never thought about it again until on July 24th 2009 I received a call from FMA Alliance trying to collect 379.25 on behalf of Regions Bank. I called Nationwide but can not get them to call me back so i can get the paper work showing it was paid. Regions said that if I had the paperwork that FMA would have to honor it.
