globe van lines rip-off low ball estimates add hidden charges fraud breach of contract encino California

the estimate that i got from this joke of a company was for $3,076! after the truck was loaded the head mover tried to say that my stuff took over 1600 cu. ft., while myself and 2 others noticed the markings in the truck and it didnt cross 1200 cu. ft.

then the guy added up the total cost after he wrote misc. charges on a scratch pad of paper, which he wouldnt let us make a copy of! the total cost turned out 2 be $9,190.50! not to mention the deposit of $150.00! I had 2 write him a check for half the cost now, and they demanded that i have the other half in cash when it got 2 me across the country.

when i called globe 2 complain that the moving cost tripled my calls were avoided, however i was told to pay the money or they wouldnt unload my stuff for at least 1 month and that i would be charged 4 storage! they also told me that I signed a blank piece of paper, which i didnt do and is fraud, and then they added the charges! ive requested a copy of that paper, no luck!

so i have my girl friend call them 2 book a fake move with the same amount of stuff and the quote is much lower. she asks about misc. charges such as tape,packing,and hours loaded and he tells her that its all included in the estimated cost of the move! well i got charged for all that crap!

finally, when they get here, they refer to a paper that ive already signed, which asks if there is room for a 48 ft. trailer to unload which there is! they add a charge to that for every foot that they have to walk over 48 ft. for over 500$ also they broke or damaged numerous things! dont use this awful company!
