I, OWNED MY HOME FREE AND CLEAR. AND, HAD A-1 CREDIT. THE
MONEY STORE SAID, I, MUST CONSOLIDATE MY DEBTS TO QUALIFY
FOR A HOME MORTGAGE. THE ROOFING COMPANY SCAMMED ME. AND,
THE MONEY STORE, PAID OFF THE LOAN, ANYWAY.
The have repeatedly, refused to supply documentation, for me to recieve assistance from emergency service's agencies. the delay allowed them to start foreclousure proceedings. I, filed a Chapt 13 to stop them. during the Chapt 13, I, discovered, that, the penalty and fees, was still being added to the loan. dispite the Bankruptcy Plan payments, being made.
I, lost my job, and, contacted them to ask for additional time, to catch up, one missed payment. In the month of August. I, was told to send, what I, had, anyway. It was returned to me, in October 2002. and, I, received a notice, that, the original $30,000.00 home loan, initiated in Sept. 1998. Was now, due and owing in the amount of, $52,000.00.
Loss Mitigation and the Attorney's that sent the foreclosure notice, were contacted. and, I, requested a breakdown, of the additional $17,000.00. attatched to my $30,000.00 loan?
The attorneys, nor the Loss MItigation department, complied.
In, my chapter 13, I, filed an adversarial complaint. and prevailed. but, because, I, went Pro Se. I, didn't follow the rules of civil procedure. and the complaint, was dismissed.
I, recommend. that a class action suit be instituted to help, people like myself, who were not, mortgage savvy. And, ultimately, was taken advantage of.
I, went to the Housing Information Office, here in Kansas City, Mo. that is federally funded. Between them and loss Mitigation. The response, I, received. was that, they each were playing phone tag. The company also, calls itself. HomeEq. or Tms mtg. co.
