Feb12 to feb 21, 2003 to paint and do minor repair. feb 24, 2003 refused to honor warranty, five letters to company and telephone calls to CEO- no response. May 22, 2003 took to small claims court-Earl Scheib's reps. jump up and down they would honor warranty. Judge says let them honor their warranty. After court they said that I would have to go to appeals court to get them to honor their warranty and to teach me a lesson and make me spend approx. $3,500.00-money I will not get back. They charged me for a new front bumper but had my bumper straightened and rechromed but left the dent in it. They installed the wrong rear bumper then installed four rusted bumper bolts -from where I do not know. They reattached the bumper brackets to the frame with only one bolt instead of the required two. They installed a dis-similar metal trim around the front headlight lopsided, they patched the rear cargo door and the patch is cracking, my suburban has orbital sanding marks all over. Mr. Owsley said it would take several days to paint the vehicle like any other shop =it takes time; but in court he stated it took approx. 5 and 1/2 hours to sand and apply primer and 7 coats of paint. he said he could paint five vehicles in the same amount of time 51/2 hours.He said they would paint a primer, three color coats of green and four coats of clear paint. I got a one stage spray of a mix of color with clear and sprayed on one time thinly-I have pits, bubbles, orange peel, dull spots all over. Their warranty in my case is worthless. i have never seen a more dis-honorable bunch in my 63 years. See pictures
