*UPDATE Employee: Response from iFreedom Direct
This company gets you on the hook by telling you that you are pre-approved for a home loan, which is BS. Once you find the house you want, then they make you fill out everything. This costed me $1850. I never got a loan. Stay away from these crooks.

#1 UPDATE Employee
Response from iFreedom Direct
AUTHOR: iFD Customer Experience Dept. - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Wednesday, October 14, 2015
To Sherman49:
iFreedom Direct Corporation takes your complaint seriously, and would like to give you the option of having the company investigate further. Without more information from you, iFreedom cannot identify your application or file. If you’re interested in having iFreedom investigate your complaint more fully, please contact iFreedom’s Legal Department at LegalDept@ifreedomdirect.com, identify yourself and your loan application, and mention this complaint.
iFreedom takes the privacy of its customers seriously so it would not discuss nonpublic personal information on a public form. It would respond directly to you, however.
Though iFreedom cannot respond to your specific situation, we can describe the loan process. When issuing a prequalification, iFreedom considers representations from its customers about income, assets, credit, and other information. On the basis of that information, iFreedom may determine that the customer appears to qualify for a loan. This is not an approval and does not guarantee a loan. As the document you likely received states, a prequalification is based on information a client provides before any verification or underwriting (that is way you are asked to fill out the application), and does not guarantee loan approval. Your complaint stated that the process cost you $1850. iFreedom doesn’t get paid any compensation until closing. If a loan application is made, the customer may approve an appraisal. In that case, an appraiser could be hired and paid through iFreedom. However, iFreedom is not an appraiser and does not add anything to the appraiser’s fee. There would be no reason for iFreedom to mislead you or anyone. If you lost $1850, this wasn’t money that iFreedom received.
With best regards,
iFreedom Direct
