Imagine Credit Card Company Charged me penalties and late fees after paying off balance due with 100.00 credit balance and sent me to collections. Compu Credit Purchase New York

I had went online and entered my inoformation for a "free" credit card. No credit checks, no credit history needed. It went on to say that we will approve you for a credit card and no credit checks. I entered my information and within 7 days was approved with a credit limit of 300.00. No problem, I thought. I used it for emergencies when I was low on money for gas or low on food stamps for purchasing food.

I receive and did tell them that I get 142.00 a month in Families First and would be able to pay 25.00 to 30.00 each month. The represenative said that was alright but could not make a payment over the phone. I had to mail it in. So I waited for a bill and put the money aside for the bill each month. I finally received a bill after four months for the amount of 250.00. I paid them with a money order 200.00. the money order was cashed and when I recieved the next bill several months later the amount due was 475.00. No mention of me paying 200.00. I called and was placed on hold waiting for a person to talk with.

They confirmed my 200.00 payment and then asked me if I wanted to use another credit card to pay off the 475.00 balance. I asked why so high a balance? I was told that it was late fees and penalty fees. I told him that I just received my second bill and it does not mention the previous payment and i feel that since I did not receive a bill and no where to mail them the payment to I should be given credit for the penalty fees. He said that if I paid them 250.00 which was the original amount owed after the 200.00 payment. I would not owe them anything unless I used the card again. So I sent them another money order for 250.00. Now I paid them a total of 450.00 on a credit limit of 350.00, I should have a credit balance of 100.00.

Now I have been sent to Compu Credit Co. for collections for the amount of 813. 35 that I owe Imagine Credit Card. You do the math. credit balance 350.00==makes payment of 450.00 which leaves a 100.00 credit balance (which means they owe me). How do I owe them 813.35? Something is wrong here. Its not me, Now I am getting calls 2 and 3 times a day every week from Vision collections trying to collect 813.35.

I feel that with all of the reports that I have read and the one that I am writing. Something needs to be done against Imagine Credit Card Company for what they have done to all of us and our names cleared. I have made my payments and the only payment that is being recognized is the 200.00 payment that I made last year. I tried calling Imagine and they wont talk to me about the account and said that the account was closed by me for unknown reasons. I did not close the account. They did and no one will help me with getting to the bottom of this and finding out where my money went.

I hope that there is a law suit against Imagine and I hope that we all get back what we have paid and compensation for the harrasment they put us through with collections. They treat us like we are the criminals and we are the innocent ones being robbed by a plastic card. Will someone out there or some one who reads this help each of us regain the money that we lost to this company?
