Somehow these bozo's have gotten into bed with BellSouth FASTACCESS Internet to 'tack' on Internet Voice E-Mail fees when that service has NEVER been offered via BellSouth.

The services are said to be through a company called Voicenet Inc. Yet there isn't even a valid number to contact them. They give a billing questions phone number of 1 888 772-1820 that is NOT A VALID NUMBER!!! Try it, it'll say "Your number cannot be completed as dialed".

Then to make matters worse they put over to the left to contact Integretel Inc at 1 800 736-7500 ALSO for billing questions!

These are all what is refered to as "unregulated items". To top it all off... at the bottom of the bill there is a disclaimer in ALL CAPS print that says... "NONPAYMENT OF UNREGULATED ITEMS WILL NOT RESULT IN DISCONNECTION OF YOUR LOCAL TELEPHONE SERVICE; HOWEVER, COLLECTION OF UNPAID CHARGES MAY BE PERSUED BY THE SERVICE PROVIDER".

Uh... which provider??? BellSouth, Integretel, or Voicenet?

Scum at the Global level my friends! :-(

Everyone needs to call BellSouth at 1 888 757-6500 along with these other Bozo's and let them know that they'll NEVER get a dime.

Such a wonderful scam II

Hello, Master here, after a bit of investigation I have found out some more information that some of you may find useful. I found these from whois lookups, a telephone metasearch set on "by phone number", "by business name", and by "reverse address search".

I work for Integretel, but 99% of the calls I take are for one 900 # client, that is Information Services 900. I will soon be taking calls for a new integretel service called ICS 100% of the time. So here is all the information (I apologise for the incongruency of presentation, all of this is pertinent information pasted from several different sources, and all of it verified by at least a second source).

it's all such a wonderful scam

Now, don't get me wrong, I'm only just a CSR (low level conract call center worker) for integretel, but even at my very low level in the tier of company business I can allready see that this place is sucha genius scam! I can't even believe it, I want one of my own. Circle the rounds making different freudulent charges on peoples phone bills, which is one thing many people these days don't even look at, they just auto pay through a credit card for the ease of their check writing hands, and don't ever even open the phone bill, let alone check the premium calls colum. Make a million bucks a day scamming people too lazy to pick up a bill or pick up a phone. Hire 500,000 a days worth of attourneys, etc, buy your own island, and contract out the calls for customers who do call in and complain, setup a simple web based Customer Service interface, attached to a database where every person whom calls in for a refund of the obviously freudulent charges has to enter in their information, which can be sold, as many times as seen fit, and all you have to do is get drunk on your island, and everything 'be all riiight! Such a marvelous scam can only be the product of AMERICAN capitalism, america, a country so tuned out by comercialism, television, and major corperations that we can't even sit back and enjoy the simple things in life, like sitting back with the spouse and going over the household bills? You must realise the point that I argue every day about the disclaimer etc that had to be read and accepted to before the call was made, may or may not have ever been displayed, either way, it hints to the ingornance of those who I talk into paying the charges, because if in fact the statement was displayed no one reads them any way, and if it wasn't most people have this almost fearlike distrust of any computer and shut off at the mere mention of a website, or a "software program" and just pay the bill. But who really needs a software program? One could just ripoff random peoples phone number that they find off the internet (to be sure they have computer), and give a refund to the few people that actually care enough to read their phone bills, restrict billing inquiries to 6am to 8pm MST M-F no holidays, reduce overhead to one central billing location, create tons of no-where companies to feed money through, such as Information Services 900 the "900 number client" of integretel that calls for 95% of the call I take. But you have to diversify, provide 900 dating services, voice mail "services", etc. should one freud become illegalized, and then hire 1500 attournies to hide you, help you, and lobby for you. There, a simple plan for world domination, spelled out in "Fractured thoughts of a thoroughly prattled mind" style.

Suggestion on how to put Integretel out of business

AUTHOR: Pea - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, April 22, 2005

Write letters en masse to the FCC or go on their website and fill out a complaint form, they are the ones that can put this company out of business.

They get your number from something you have clicked on on the internet. Somewhere within a few months of these charges appearing on your bill you have put your phone number on a form, a con that says you have won something or something they want to give away free. i.e. free voice mail (of course they need your phone number how else would it work) the free period ends and they start billing you.

Rule of thumb is this, NEVER give your house phone number on the net, if you must put a phone number use your cell number.
Be sure to call Bellsouth and place a misc 3d party block on your phone, this will prevent other companies from putting anything on your bill in the future.

i am a csr for integretel

AUTHOR: Larry - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, January 07, 2005

i am a csr for integretel, no i dont work for the company directly, but contracted out at a call center. most all the people you talk to on the phone dont work for integretel, the company isnt brave enough to take their own phone calls. i can see that integretel is a rip-off company, i thought that the first week i started working at this call center. what i try to do there is adjust everybodys bill and give them the credit rather than have people give their money to this company! all you have to do is this, simply deny that you have no knowledge of the charge, and refuse to pay, most of the time the charge will be adjusted! thats it! please do yell, scream or use profanity, i dont work for the company, it is not my fault,i just work in a call center that is contracted by integretel to take their calls because they are not brave enough to take their own calls. i would like to see this company shut down! i hope something happens very soon as well as the rest of my co-workers do! please dont yell at us, it isnt our fault,by the way i am looking for another job! do you know who is hiring?

AOL Combined Billing, call BellSouth and request that they block third party misc billing charges

AUTHOR: Kali - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 25, 2003

Per FCC regulations, BellSouth must accept billing from other companies on their phone bill. Thats actually what the terms 'regulated' and 'unregulated' mean - regulated are rates dictated by the FCC and PSC's per state. Unregulated means no entity is telling that company (AOL, dsl, etc) how much they can and cannot charge for those svcs. BellSouth is heavily regulated in what it can and cannot do as far as other companies using them for billing etc.

My advice - call BellSouth and request that they block third party misc billing charges. That way you wont have have combined billing and your BellSouth bill will only show BellSouth (and approved LD carrier) charges.

If you get charges for a company that will not credit you, then tries to place the blame on another company who was never part of your agreement (AOL stating its all BellSouth's fault though you had no dealings with BellSouth to set it up), then you should firmly request to speak with a manager. Also, request that they remail you (not email) a copy of the agreement.

Good luck getting this solved - but please dont be so quick to blame a 3rd party just because the company you are dealing with is trying to redirect your anger.
