INTERNATIONAL REBATES, REBATES AND VOUCHERS AND NIGHTMARES - Dastardly steps to keep you from redeeming Internet, Florida

We were "promised" a $100 gift card on the phone for attending this sales seminar in Dallas TX at the Galleria to listen to a sales pitch for travel "services".  Afterwards we were told we'd get it in the mail - and eventually we did. This is what I have finally figured out.

1st you mail the International Rebate company a copy of your drivers license, the rebate form and enclose a self addressed stamped envlope and mail it all by certified mail. ( Naturally I am going to black out my drivers license number, and photo copy it all and reference every line on the form in my submission letter.)

                           Then I am going to wait 8-10 weeks.

Then I am going to recieve in the mail another form to fill out designating  with which retailer I want to use my rebate.

Then I am going to fill out that form and send it back to International Rebates with a SASE etc etc --and wait 8-10 weeks.

Then I will get my first voucher to use for Ten Dollars - yes ten whole entire dollars - not including taxes.  I will only be able to use one (1) as in singular, voucher each month for up to ten (10) dollars.  No, not the $100.00 - or one-hundred dollars - I was promised. No no no no.  So for 10 months I may send in a reciept, original, on a credit card, with a SASE and wait 8-10 weeks for my rebate.

OK this is so much work and so screwy.  Do the companies that "buy" this service realize how stupid it is? How does International Rebate make its money? Anyone know?

All I can say folks, is read the fine print over and over.  I'll be a pain in thier rebate behind  for sure if I don't get my $100 worth of money back.
