Hello I bought my 2010 GLK in Nov 2012. It had 35,800. miles on it at the time I bought it. Aug 1 I brought it in to Mecedes Walnut CReek because the check engine light came on now has 41.865 miles.I only put 6k miles on the truck in the 9 months I had it. They did a Diognostic and found out it was exhaust valves on the number 3 cylinder have not been seating completely so the valves have not been spinning.
The warranty company on 8/6 denied the claim stating there was Excessive carbon build up when there own inspector came out to view the part and stated there is no Excessive there is just normal carbon that matches the millege and year of the car. I am paying these people $160 a month just for this warranty the (diamond package). I do not think this is right and they should not be allowed to do a customer this way. [continued below]....
10/7 2 hours after I have faxed the letter a Barry contacted me and stated that the claim was denied. I asked why the claim was denied and that I would like a copy of the report that Timothy there inspector had done and that Tim stated that there was no Excessive carbon build up and was unsure as to why the company is denying my claim. Barry then told me well it was not on the report but I see a picture with a little discoloration in which I am stating why I am denying the claim.
10/9 Jorge from Mercedes walnut creek called the number I gave him to speak with Barry Jorge was told that he was on the phone. Jorge stated he will wait until he is done and that is when Barry told whomever answered the phone that there was nothing to discuss and he will not review the claim nor come to the phone for Jorge!
10/11 I had no choice but to order the part or I could have Mercedes put the broken part back together and pay them $3000.00 for doing that.
10/15 Jorge from Mercedes call me and let me know I can pick up my vehicle $4956.00. I have to get my credit cards ready in order to pay for this job. This is so unfair when I am paying this company $160.00 a month a total of $2111 for warranty company that will not even provide there services as stated. Please help me. Feel free to contact me
