My name is Angie, I am 28 and I live in Beeville, Texas. I work for a school district and am a mother of 2. My common-law husband and I have been together for 11 years now. It was December 20, 2005 and I was at my father's house. I was on Christmas Break and had just gotten paid. Well anyhow I was at my father's house I had gone over there to leave supper for him because he hadn't returned from work.

I was approached by this young guy I would say maybe about 19 years old. He walked up to me and asked if my parent's were home and I said no because in fact it had been true. I told him that no one was home and he said you look about 18 can I show you a brochure. I wasn't flattered at all by the comment in which he had made because I had next to me my 6 year old daughter and I knew that he knew d**n well that I was not 18 because my daughter had asked something and of course said "Mom". I told him that I was in a bit of a hurry and had to get back home as my 3 year old son and husband were waiting on me so that we could eat supper.

He was persistent that I looked at it and told me that buy subscribing I would be helping him out with points so that he would be able to attend something I can't even remeber anymore as I suffer from short-term memory loss. I looked at the brochure because I knew that he wasn't going to let me walk away, and I figured what do I have to lose? Well upon looking at it I came across a magazine that looked quite familiar to me and I asked him about it. It was The Four Wheeler Off Road Editions. My husband buys every issue and needless to say I have a bathroom and garage filled with some, so since it was around christmas time and I hadn't quite gotten him anything yet because we were a little low in our budget due to the fact that he had just had surgery for a Hernia near his groin well half of our money went to that and towards my children's gifts.

I figured that I would be able to get by with $46.00 to cover the subscription of 24 issues on his favorite magazine. Jacob Holdcraft told me that the subscription would come in before Valentines Day. I said well that's fine because I will just put this in a little box and wrap it up and then attach a small note telling him that I love him and that he would receive them as a late christmas present but an early Valentines present. As I wrote out my check to him I felt great because I thought well I am doing a good deed for one and at the same time getting something in return. Boy was I wrong! I couldn't believe how fast the money was drafted from my account. My husband kept telling me you got ripped off and not only did I get ripped off but my family got ripped off because that 46.00 could have been used to actually buy something that I would have gained the same day.

I have learned my lesson and all I have to say to this Jacob kid who ripped off me and my family and thousands of other families is that one day you will have to go before god and you will pay the price for taking money from those of us who work hard for it. Not once did he metion that it would take anywhere from 90 to 120 days for delivery or that I had only 3 postmarked business days to cancel. I was in such a hurry to leave that once he had all of my information down and handed me a receipt to sign it I did just that and never bothered to look at it. I shoved the receipt in my wallet and my daughter and I got in my car and hurried home. I never bothered to look at it until i wrapped it up Christmas Eve. I hurried to to the phone and tried calling the # below and couldn't get a hold of anyone then I figured well duh it is the holidays I will write the # down and call after the New year well till this day none answers and the website address is a phony because it was modified on yesterday's date and updated the next day as being under construction so none of the links are available how convenient. Well I am not and will not let these people get away with this I will get my 24 issues or my money back.
