Kensington Consulting Group ripoff New York New York

I am an 18 year old college student living on my own at the time when I recieved the yellow card. And WOW did it sound great!!!! Sent in the money when I was already dirt poor, recieved the package and sent it back because I just wanted my money back which was almost $300. That money is ALOT for me!

After waiting FOREVER to recieve and after MANY phone calls asking where it is and hearing "its in the mail," I gave up. Then upon receiving it and sending it back AGAIN them not "getting" it until months later they say I dont get a refund becuase it wasnt sent on time!

If any hears about this steer FAR FAR away! and if anyone has suggestions on how to get my money back that would be WONDERFUL and I would LOVE to hear them!!!!

I too was almost duped by this so called Kensington Consulting, or is it Kensington Assistance Agency, or is it Kensington Group? From reading all the other responses, this company has many AKAs, but one that they should also be known as is: KENSINGTON RIPOFF CO. SUPPOSEDLY OF NEW YORK, NY. I had called the company on 12/16/05 as a result of receiving a card typed in red letters saying: "YOU HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED AS A POSSIBLE QUALIFIER FOR A GOVERNMENT GRANT OF AT LEAST $5000. REMEMBER A GRANT IS MONEY THAT THE RECIPIENT NEVER HAS TO PAY BACK. CALL NOW: 18663143910 - 30 MINUTE PROGRAM APPROVAL. $FREE APPLICATION$ HERE ARE JUST A FEW GRANTS THAT YOU MAY BE INTERESTED IN APPLYING FOR: EDUCATON, JOB TRAINING, HOUSING, HEALTH, AND BUSINESS. CALL NOW AND POSSIBLY CHANGE YOUR LIFE FOREVER!" Well to mak a long story short, I initially didn't feel comfortable at the time to give them my bank account information nor could I really afford to give the $299.97 Approval fee as they had requested. Nevertheless, I really wanted to get an EDUCATION grant to help pay for the expenses of my pursuing Master's degree in Education or perhaps, get a Housing grant for some home improvement and repairs. At the beginning of the phone call I was sent to the Program Review dept. and was told to call 866-316-7146. I got a referral from Steve at Kensington Consulting. The $5000 was guaranteed in about 2 (two) to 3 (three) weeks or my money back. Well, again today (3/9/06) I started to call them back and go through with it, but a thought came to me to check them out on the internet and so this website www.ripoffreport.com came up and sure enough many have been ripped off by this company. I'm so very glad I researched this so called Kensington company in New York. Please be aware and be warned--this website has been a God-sent to me. Thank you.
