I'm glad to see that I am not the only one having to deal with this company. I was checking my account balance this morning, 8.23.06, and noticed a charge of 21.95. I called my bank to see who this was from. I was given the name Membership Plus as well as their phone number.

I called them and explained that I never signed up for their services nor did I want them. She told me that she could not even find my name in their system. I requested the 21.95 charge to be credited and was told that it was non-refundable since I had past my 7 day trial period. I informed her that until today I had never heard of her company so how could I have possibly known about any trial period.

I never received anything from this company, be it email or snail mail. I did some investigating and found all the reports of this company listed here. I sent an email to 1st National Bank expalining the situation and requesting their assistance. They were mentioned in one of the reports as being the bank this company operates from. I am still waiting to hear back.

I then contacted Membership Plus again and spoke with a gentleman named Andrew. I was given the same runaround by him. He though did tell me that he cancelled my account and that there would be no charge. I was even given a confirmation number. I told him that I expected this all resolved tofday and informed him that I had been in touch with my lawyer and that if it wasn't, a criminal investigation would comence and they would be reported to the BBB as well as the FBI. I then hung up and am now waiting to see what happens.

Well, after extensive phone calls and emails I was still not able to get any assistance from Membership PLus in getting my 21.95 credited back to my account. Finally, I contacted my bank and explained the situation to them in detail (fraudulent activity, no response from company, etc.) and they told me to do a stop payment on the charge. I did this with no charge from my bank and the charge was credited back to my account. I probably will never hear back from Membership Plus and now I hope I don't. The matter, in my opinion, has been resolved, I got my money back.
